Got a chance to preview Outriders again, and it's shaping up much better than I had anticipated after my first experience with the game. It's pretty much Destiny meets Gears of War, but instead of just replaying the same missions over and over again to grind and get better loot, it's got a full story campaign, loot that drops on the battlefield and it's not a games as a service title.

It's nothing really "new" but it's got that comfort food feel to it and mechanically, it feel really good to play.

Article also includes a video preview with Jack and I.

Looks dope. Might give it a shot when it releases. Depending on how burnt out i get on cyberpunk....and possibly my 6th playthrough of FF7REMAKE. I have 424 hours into ff7r already. It isnt relevant to outriders i just realized my playtime and thought to make a note of it somewhere.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
I was wondering what People Can Fly were up to. Not really much gameplay shown but I will keep my eye on it.

Edit: Ahh, I see, gameplay preview, I was looking at the steam page and it was really just trailer with no gameplay. I don't know, could be cool but I was expecting something faster paced from People can Fly. This looks more like an rpg third person shooter kinda thing. Hmm, I'll still keep my eye out for it though.

Wow, I found that very visually bland and unappealing.

Not to question your tastes but any particular reason? I get something like Skyrim or whatever that has a huge sandbox and such but FF7R is fairly linear and such.

I actually quite enjoy third person shooters with cover mechanics, they seem to be a rare breed these days.

But the gunplay in this game seems non-existent... Damn bro, it's 2020, how can you not have recoil and spread on your guns?

Also not really a problem for me, but it looks like everything people hated about third person shooters last generation packed into a single game. Brown graphics, cartoonish gore, blatantly obvious chest high walls.

That's really disappointing that People Can Fly have been working on this. The shooting looks like it's straight from The Division, the powers look pretty underwhelming compared to stuff like Borderlands or even freaking Mass Effect (this doesn't even look better than Mass Effect 3 MP). And why do we need stupid loot systems in games that don't need loot systems? Are people really that undisciplined that simple Skinner Box mechanics keep them playing something over just enjoyable gameplay? The looting is even the worst part of Borderlands, it accomplishes basically nothing but unneeded inventory management. This looks like one of those games you point to as everything that's wrong with AAA today.

I'm calling it now, this is gonna go down as another Fuse, remember that game? Of course you don't and it was even made by Insomniac.

Putting 424 hours into FF7R. For a game that isn't open world that's a lot(I mean, that's also a lot for an open world game) and the game came out a few months back. I'm just curious what about it is driving so much time invested.
I love it. I love the music. The characters. The Gameplay. I love the game.

So.....I mean. That's that really.

Fair enough.
Look the original FF7 is my favorite game of all time. And the Remake has made me cry, laugh, and flip out with glee more times than I can count. FF7 was the game that opened my mind to the world of RPG's, it was a turning point in how I viewed story and gaming in general.

And the Remake lived up to every possible expectation I had. The levels of what FF7 means to me....it's impossible to describe.

I mean, I wasn't trying to be a dick and I apologize if it came across that way. I was genuinely curious. Thank you for expanding on that.

Naw i didn't take it as insulting or you being a dick. I just wanted to better express my love for FF7. I imagine I'll put 1000's of hours into the remake series before all is said an done.

I think i've played through the original game at least 100 times start to finish over the years.
