I love the opening village portion of RE4, but once I get Ashley it kind of goes downhill, and then it becomes especially bad once you get to the facility type place near the end.

Skies of Arcadia - I hated the original with the random encounters far too frequent... step step BATTLE! step step BATTLE! and so on

that fucking Mako......

I found In saints row 2 there were too many "chase after x in car" type missions, I think because eather I was terrible at driving or it was made harder with being a bad PC port

usually I just gave up and used the sniper rifle, worked with Dane vogals get away, also after crashing my bike a million times I just snipered shogo who was a LONG way away with literally a second ago...when I was suposed to chase after him on the bike

The investigation missions in Assassin's Creed 1. They were extremely repetitive, fortunately they fixed it in Assassin's Creed 2.

The last big part of Half life 2 episode 2, the part with the striders and the Magnuson devices, i also just skip it out. Not sure why i don't like it just find it really boring.
Probably because it borders on a chore with how annoying it gets sometimes, "Oh, what's that? The strider is running in real fast so the Magnuson Devices won't attach to it and it can then run up and obliterate that building you wanted to defend? Or was it that bit right at the start where a different strider you couldn't see that came up so suddenly blew up your sawmill? Tough luck!" Sheesh. Yeah, I hardly ever play that bit anymore.

For me it is in HL2 where you've got those stupid resistance fighters huddling around you, preventing you from moving and then when they get out of your way, they just get into your way in another spot.
Then L4D with the bots being incredibly stupid at times, such as walking to the far side of a fire that started and engulfed them to get to safety or the same with acid spit. I'm sorry, but when I threw that gas can out of the door to this enclosed room I meant for us to stay inside as it burned up the zombies trying to get in here dammit!
Finally the smaller collosi in Shadow of the Colossus. If the bull or the lion(?) hit you once, you're likely gonna get slowly beaten to death, no matter how much stamina or life you have.

I feel everytime I post I get one step closer to being assassinated for orgasming over Mass Effect. But balls to it. I have 3 favourites;
Mass Effect: I was happy enough with the mako really. I even felt the elevators were acceptable. The 2 things I most dislike (hate is a strong word) is the rediculous amount of time I spend comparing weapons and armour and selling them, and the fact its not out on ps3. Depending how life goes around ME3 release, I might have to rebuy ME2 on PC and get ME3 on PC too. Despite how my computer will scream at me for such an act, even on low graphics, which will lower the immersion.
Mass Effect 2: The Surveying of the planets. good god, that might push me to getting the game on PC so I can hack it. No way to transfer the save from the PC (perhaps by using a checklist at the beginning, or a long code that defines my character's choices) also applies here, heavily. Oh, and female Sheperd's hair. It's nit-picky, I know, but it's really annoying me, I liked her old hair, sadface.
Assassin's Creed 2: the introduction. The rest of the game is golden, I'm even cool with the combat, but the 3 hour hand-holding *smashes head on wall*. I can't get my friend to play the game because of this, understandably to be honest. No Leonardo, you can carry your own damn box!

Fable tlc - ... It made me waste money, I loved it enough to trust LH with fable 2 and fable 3. I suppose I hated it set a bar that others havent reached, it had a charm I havent seen anywhere else and that has left me dissaponted.
This, this and THIS.

An RPG like Fable: The Lost Chapters will never be made again and it saddens me how Lionhead ran their own franchise into the ground when the time came for them to prove that the franchise could compete with other RPGs of this day and age. To make it worse, not one, but both of the Fable games that followed were terrible and were a waste of time and money for both the devs and the fans of the original fable.

Here's to the memory of the original Fable. May your glory be preserved forever!

Final Fantasy boss battles. After spending 20 minutes chipping away at the health of a boss and think I'm finally going to beat it then it casts death, disease, slow, poison, sap, and dispelga (kill, stops ability to heal, sap is like poison except it goes at a constant rate, dispelga removes all my buffs) then re-heals after the fourth time i start to transform into this kid around the 3rd try. and i also wanna add cal of duty games on veteran I can beat it fairly easily if i just play defensively (excessive flash-bangs) but the grenade spamming just ruins it. In world at war if i wasn't prone in front of a wall I'd be running away from at least 2 grenades.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YersIyzsOpc Moments the ones above including others turn me into this kid

That fucking staircase sequence in MGS1. Having to fend off guards on an uneven surface in third person is awkward as shit and spend toughly 10 minutes just holding the analogue stick to the left, is just drags on for waaaaaay too long. I really hate that bit from an otherwise awesome game.

When you take out Morello's brother at the docks in Mafia.

I was seriously stuck on that for ages the first time I'm played about what to do after the fight, and the fight before is both difficult and very fucking long, so even though I can now nail it and know what to do, I still hate playing it.

I guess the race would be the main one for anyone whose played, but then I completed it on like my second or third try (unpatched). Just sayin'.

- The plot holes in Mass Effect. Love the games, but Bioware, please think a bit harder about what you're writing.

- The drop in quality in Bioshock after the confrontation with Andrew Ryan. Once again, love the game, but it was clearly rushed toward the end. (However, I really didn't mind that escort mission that everyone seems to hate. I got her through without so much as a scratch.)

Also...

Mass Effect:
That despite the first one having very reasonable and fair representations of non sexualized female characters, the games since then have been becoming less and less mature about it. Including recently making the most practical and ordinary of the girls of Mass Effect (Ashley Williams) into a spandex wearing supermodel.
It's not enough to ruin the game, or Ashley, for me but it does annoy me.

Bulletstorm:
The red color spattering my face when I try to charge messes up my attack plans. Plus, the plot can't decide whether it wants to be silly or serious and keeps leaping between the two in a very strange way.
Both of these. For example, I really like the character Samara, but why exactly is a vigilante warrior-monk wearing a skintight leotard complete with with cleavage window and high heels? (And why has Ashley charged face-first into the uncanny valley?)

As for Bulletstorm... yeah, you said it. I like it when they're poking fun at themselves and threatening to kill each other's genitals, but not so much when they're making bizarrely out of place attempts at character development.

This. And the dragon sequences in Divinity 2. I always lost all sense of orientation and died. Never finished Flames of Vengeance for that reason. -_-

I really dislike the bloodsuckers, Poltergeist, Sporks and Zombies from S.T.A.L.K.E.R SoC I really don't like horror elements. (I don't really mind the other humanoid mutants, because they are quiet rare I've only seen 1 controller and 1 pseudogiant). I hated those creatures so much that I opted not to switch of Brain Sorcher so that I wouldn't have to deal with them (You can still make it to pyrat, all you need is a medkit and a bandade, once you made it their the game says you switched of Brain Sorcher)

Fallout New Vegas: Not the glitches, never really run into them. Its the fact that so many quests in that game contradict each other. So many quests involving Mr. House that the pressure makes me cry.
Please explain, I don't quite get what you're saying.

This a hundred times. Some PC players got so tired of it they made a mod to skip it and just give you the stat points and xp.

The boss battle against Rosh in SW:JK:JA (Wow, that's a lot of colons). Trapped in an enclosed space with one strong-style lightsaber user and 2 force monkeys.

Taris in KOTOR. Sure, it's only 4 hours but it's 4 hours with a limited cast, a dull motivation and no lightsabers.
