Participants Wanted For Guinness World Record Guitar Hero Marathon
To celebrate the launch of the Guitar Hero [http://gamers.guinnessworldrecords.com/]Marathon Relay.
The event will take place on February 6 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in London, England, before being passed on to New York for the U.S. leg which will run from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., both local times. Players will be put together in pairs and play one track each, and will have only a 15-second window between songs to pass the guitars to the next pair. A report in Eurogamer [http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=91337]says a "mysterious guest celebrity" will be on hand to kick off the party.
Gamers can also attempt to break the record for "Highest score set by six people playing one guitar," which will feature each person handling a single key or the strum bar on the guitar controller. Participants are encouraged to attend dressed as their favorite Guitar Hero, with an exclusive prize awarded to the best dressed player.
