Payday 2 Live Action Web Series Cracks Its First Vault

Remain calm and nobody will get hurt.

Overkill Software, the studio behind heist game Payday 2 [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/124471-Payday-2-Boasts-A-Pleasantly-Mellow-Trailer], has been promising a live action web series based on its title for a while, and now it's delivered a vault-cracking slice of action. As might be expected, things don't go altogether smoothly for Dallas, Hoxton, Chains and Wolf; maybe they'll be able to shoot their way out of their dilemma, but their backs are against the wall this time.

"The Payday web series has been a solid and very close collaboration between all parties involved," says director Demian Lichtenstein, of Elvis heist caper 3000 Miles to Graceland fame, among many other credits. "I have never experienced such a high level of commitment to excellence." Payday 2, a first person shooter / heist simulator, will have you taking on jobs from the mysterious Crimenet organization, as you set about robbing Washington DC blind. Overkill plans on releasing one of these videos every other week, until the game's release.

Payday 2 will be out for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 later this August.

Interesting, if not a little silly.
I'll be keeping an eye on this methinks. Shame I have nobody I'd want to play it with.

I've said it once, I'll say it again: Why, WHY, did they have to make Hoxton American?! He's from Sheffield for christs sake!

Aside from that, this does make me feel pumped for the new game!

And Wolf if memory serves from his bio is from Sweden. As soon as I heard the voices I had to turn off the web series. It does not matter how god the content is if they can not even make an attempt to get the characters right. A real immersion breaker.
Well, according to the credits, Wolf is played "by himself" (which likely means by Ulf)
