What fucking checkpoints? You have a quicksave! The loading times were terrible only if you were playing on a 386. And cutscenes? Seriously? Are you actually talking about Max Payne 3? I never liked prologue missions too, but they weren't that hard (I was 12 when I played it, and didn't have to skip anything).

no Quicksave on the PS2 man. And everytime you die you have to re-load, a long 13 seconds.

And there are some in-game cutscenes that are unskippable.

Next time don't just assume everyone is a PC elitist....

To be fair, if the controls/load times really were that shoddy on PS2, it absolutely qualifies as a shitty console port. Some ports are good, some are terrible (and this goes both ways), but based on the complaints of you and others in this thread it does not sound like a quality port.

Metro 2033 - D6 - Amoeba parts. Ranger Hardcore mode made it worse then it already was.
Halo 3 - Cortana, the reason why I never finished H3.
Half Life 2 - The underground railroad and various other spots.
