I'd rather a 12 bore shotgun rather than a parker pen or a sword. Messier, yes. Better at killing, yes. Obviously, if I had an English essay to do, I'd go for sword.

Well, I know that lances beat swords in the Weapons Triangle, but a pen is not of said Triangle.

Therefore, I would choose neither, and would probably run away.

Also, I do not have the necessary skill to safely wield a sword, but I can write, so a pen seems like the only viable option.
