Perfect First Person Game?

Personally, just combine Halo and Oblivion. (without the flood, of course.) I'm never happier with a gun in hand than when I am shooting things in beautiful, open, natural environments. Add some height, like in the AoTCR level, and cross the ruins with the Silent Cartographer.
But that's just me. I doubt that's anyone else's ideal FPS.

There was this game on the Xbox called Breakdown, It was also very different and the whole game from beginning to end was from the main characters eyes.

Half-Life and Half-Life 2(Not including the episodes, as far as I can tell) did that, too. Also, CoD4, but that one was a bit different because there were two characters to play as.

BreakDown had a full unarmed combat system.
I love my Half-life and it is easily one of the best fps's out there but I really appreciate what BreakDown did. It didn't make me feel like I was playing a Clone of Halo or HalfLife but it felt like something new and different.

You can't make the best first person game, because it already has been made it's called portal.

...and everything after that is kind of downhill by my reasoning.
