Persona 4 comes to Steam.

Ok, so shit, Persona 4 just randomly released on steam today. I don't recall hearing any news about there even being a chance of a pc release for the game and suddenly it shows up on steam. YAY.

https://steamdb.info/app/1113000/subs/ So people are reporting that they've found Denuvo support pages as well as steam database pages for Persona 4 Golden coming to steam. And apparently it's very very soon.....like Friday soon. I believe this is the first time a Persona game has come to PC...

Yeh, this was strongly rumored when a Denuvo page for it leaked. Always a good thing when a good game on an unpopular platform gets a second chance, giving more people a crack at it. The was also another rumour that Persona 3 would also make the jump. Seems P4G is doing well too. It's currently on the top seller page.

Here's to hoping that'll convince Atlus to port more games to other systems. They've oftentimes asked the community whether it wants ports to platforms other than the one that franchise is associated with, but this is afaik the first time they've actually done so (aside from Tokyo Mirage Sessions, but that's still Nintendo → Nintendo). C'mon, gimme Persona 5 Royal.

I'm hoping that this will convince Vanillaware to bring some of their games to pc. I really want to play Odinsphere again, and Grim Grioure and it would be neat to finally be able to play Dragons Crown.

I played the original P4 and P3 quite recently. I really like the story and the social links but I couldn't play them again,. The dungeons did my head in. They are soooo repetitive. Maybe P5's dungeon's are so good that they spoiled me.

Well that's neat, though I'd rather wait to see if it gets a PS4 (or 5) release.

Denuvo sucks, but I can't think of that many games that still have it a year or so after release. As much as I want to support the game to get more of the series on PC, I'd rather wait until they take it out and make my statement that way. Besides, I still have the original PS2 game, so it's not a huge deal either way.

A version that combines all the extra content of P3FES and P3P would be ace. But yeah, that would mean they'd basically have to create every cutscene with the female mc. A bunch of modeling, animating and recording voice lines. Doubt they'll do that. A port of either FES or Portable would be my guess.

I would be ok if they did FES but with the added ability to directly control your party as that is the thing I am most wary of when thinking about playing it.
