For no reason what so ever, you have decided to marry a cartoon character. So you head over to the nearest toon-to-be shop and you choose your spouse. The problem is they only have a short selection of cartoons to pick from. So who do you pick (from the list)

One can love perfectly well without marriage. One can engage in a completely absorbing, long-term relationship without marriage. Even though love has eluded me, I have no problem seeing how one can love - but I absolutely and completely fail to see the significance of the ball-and-chain that is matrimony.

So because you fail to see the point, it makes others naive and idealistic?
