Having never played planetside I don't know what I'm missing out on here. I didn't get selected but that isn't necessarily the end of it all. I might just give the game a go regardless as it always intrigued me (though when it launched I was off in warmer, sandier parts of the world were there was no internet).

on that note I remeber reading about a 14 day free trial was this a roumor or is the soe website hiding it from me?

Edit: Ok answerd my own question so i may aswell talk anyone else thru it:

So step 1: get the launcher
step 2: create a station account
step 3: get the 14 day free trial
step 4: avoid the planetside website as much as possible ^^
step 5: wait for some one to tell us what server the escapest is on =)

step 3: "get the 14 day free trial" is a bit rubish so i'll just go again ...

step 3 a: click the planetside option
step 3 b: select 14 day free trial
step 3 c: run though the 'accpet' doc
step 3 d: click on the planet side button again and download (its the bottom option for me)

Remember.... If you do not get a key and use the free trial you will NOT count towards the escapest's score! you'll only be able to play allong side...

Here's the fix for vista/7 users who are having problems getting the game to play

To clarify, the keys were sent out by email. If you have a badge, and don't see the email containing the key, your provider's spam filters probably mistook it for missile launch codes and diverted the message to Antarctica.

Just in case they're dragging their feet on delivery, give it an hour or two, then if it's not there contact either Spinwhiz or me by PM, and we'll try to PM your code to you as soon as we can.

Fire up the station. You can activate a trial account for any of the games it shows via that. Just click the one you want and it's pretty easy from there.
