Ratchet and Clank can't be beat. PS2, PS3, and PSP.

my comp can run (without a doubt in my mind) any game currently out.
That's a pretty heavy claim right there, got any specs?
Yeah, my brand new Quad-Core 4GB RAM, 1GB Nvidia graphics gaming PC struggles with one or two of the awkward ones. To have a PC that can run anything without problem is... Not unrealistic... Not improbable...

Oh yeah. A lie.

The combat in Sands of Time almost made me want to just skip to Warrior Within all together.
Other than the elevator fight I had no issues with the combat in Sands of Time; it's simple and it worked. Warrior Within's XXXTREME LIMB REMOVALS were laughable and only served to highlight everything wrong with the direction the series was taking. The emphasis should be on exploration and puzzle-solving. Ico also had basic combat but you never hear people moan about that.
Granted, the focus should be on the platforming, but I'm confused as to which part of the combat you enjoyed: the fact you can't see how much health the enemy has, the lack of variety in attacks, the extremely temperamental counter move, or just the overall unnecessary repetition of it all?

get a PS2 and get ratchet and clank(or just an emulator). or burn in hell for all eternity, then indirectly cause the murder of a thousand puppies. both good options, who am i to decide for you?

Tomb Raider: Underworld is a good platformer on the 360, most of the time it's just pure platforming and the levels are varied and look really nice.

Other than that Prince of Persia and Mirror's Edge.
