Play Psychonauts for Free

For a limited time, Gametap has added Psychonauts to a long list of free-to-play games. The first in a holiday trilogy, Psychonauts will be free to play through December 31, 2007.

Psychonauts joins a long list of free games that includes Sam and Max Season One Episode 4: Abe Lincoln Must Die!, Hitman 2: Silent Assasin, Myst Online: Uru Live, Tomb Raider: Legend, Bloodrayne and many others.

To complete the "Holiday Threesome," Gametap.com [http://www.gametap.com] will be releasing Thief: Deadly Shadows on December 6 and Rogue Trooper on December 13.

Same here. I purchased the game based on Yahtzee's enthusiastic recommendation and have absolutely loved it. I've made some noise about the free Gametap offer to friends who otherwise wouldn't even go near it, but I certainly have no regrets about laying down a few bucks for it.

Bought this game at launch and sold it back when I sold my Xbox. Now that it's BC I think I'll probably just buy it back in XBX format again, but I will definitely be going at it on Gametap... if Gametap is free too?

I'll leave the GameTap version alone and buy the downloadable version for XBox360, as I actually want to throw Psychonauts money when I go to play it and I want to concentrate my game-buying in my console whenever possible.

But that's me.

Wasn't aware there was a downloadable version for Xbox 360. The Xbox version is backwards compatible on a 360, though, but there's a weird bug where you can make Raz's outfit the same blue color as the Options menu.

gametap is sort of like steam, the only thing is that instead of buying individual games, you pay a monthly fee and not have to buy games
