I honestly hope that it WON'T be able to recreate Super Metroid or Super Mario World.

My dear friend, I do believe you have set out a challenge to the LittleBigPlanet community.

If someone is going to make a complete Super Metroid/Super Mario World level, words will not be able to describe the amount of awesome it will contain.
