Gaming is usually played for pleasure, I'm sure most of us can agree on that.

But everyone at some point in time gets in one of those moods, where your just too down in the dumps to enjoy most of your games.
There is always one game I find, that no matter how angry or miserable I am, I can put it in and feel better afterwards.

So I thought it would be a nice discusion point for me to ask what that game is for you? What game can you play no matter what you feel like?

Mine would be Jet Set Radio Future, the style that oozes from every pore. I just can't help but smile and the music never fails to make me sway along to the beat or even make me sing along.

Footnote- Yay my first ever thread ^_^ hope it doesn't suck to much.

Assassins creed 2, after the ending. Just messing around in that game, running and leaping and everything... without the plot to worry about, just watching the scenery and the people, it just makes me feel really good and calms me down.

I think your thread is fine! It just requires a bit of thoght, is all!

Resistance 2. Experimenting with all those crazy weapons puts a smile on my face no matter what.

tetris. I've got to the point where i don't have to think about it to be good at it, I just keep one eye on the score and let my mind wander off for a while.

Ah the game for when you don't feel like gaming eh? I have a couple. Anything that doesn't take much effort, like Pokemon or Pro Evo will fit this slot for me. Also the Guitar Hero and Rock Band games seeing as I can just have a blast on them then be done with it.

The sims 3 is pretty good for this, since if you cant be bothered you can let them do their own thing, or make a large family and have one 'accidentally' burn the house down.
Any of the fire emblem games goes here too, since i can always be bothered to play them.
Gears of war 2, horde mode. Gotta love carving up hordes for hours on end.

Hmm...I'd probably say Super Metroid, Pokemon Stadium 2 or Twisted Metal 2. That last one for sure it is brilliant. All of those. Or maybe even Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe. Being The Joker and kicking the crap out of anybody then doing the Cards fatality will always put a smile on my face.
