I just open up the album folder and play an album. I very rarely use playlists. When I used itunes I would sometimes make smart playlists for albums I listened too most often.
I never use playlists. Either I have a specific song in mind to play (usually from compliation albums), or I'll listen to a full album.
I also absolutely cannot listen to music on shuffle. The mood whiplash from hearing an upbeat alternative rock song following an aggressive heavy metal song would just leave me confused. Anyway, I figure that musicians usually make their albums in such a way to make listening to them straight through appealing.
