Playstation 2 Memory Card won't work with one game

So I'm trying to enjoy Klonoa 2 but it tells me it can't access the memory card. The memory card is fine, it works will all my other games. But for some reason Klonoa 2 won't cooperate.
I don't mind losing my Klonoa 2 data but I have lots of other games on the memory card that I want to keep. I only have one memory card so I can't back up files.

Any advice on what to do?

Probably the easiest option, Just buy a spare Memory Card off e-bay for probably $10 or so.

Probably buy another memory card. Either off of eBay or in stores if you don't like purchasing online. Stores in Australia sell them for $15 so that means that anywhere else in the world will probably sell them for 5 cents.

Whatever you do, make sure you get to play the game as it's absolutely awesome.
