FYI: I just went to do a System Update on my PS4 Pro with 8 TB external and got an SU-4218-6 error.
When I looked to see what that was, I was informed that it was either a hard drive or disc drive error.
For me, I disconnected my external 8 TB drive and restarted the system. That, for me, worked. Once back up I put the external cord back into the PS4. I went into the storage screen and when it was done calculating, my games were still there and OK. Glad the update had not bricked my system. I hope y'all do not have this issue and if you do, this "fix" works.
