Just curious, anyone following the Pogchamps tournament?

If so, who do you reckon will win it? Or, in all seriousness, do you think it's a joke/a good thing?

Voyboy vs Hutch tiebreaker final, I expected Voyboy to win and he did, but winning on clock was a bit surprising.

Champs bracket games were a good spectacle and very respectable IMO, especially the semis and beyond, so assholes like Ben Finegold can go screw himself.

For those who don't know, Pogchamps was a chess.com publicity event tournament for streamers with little to no experience in chess but who had become interested thanks to interaction with (and then what passes for tutelage from) pro-chess streamers (e.g. GMHikaru/BotezLive/RobertHess/ChessBrah etc.). Sixteen streamers with ELO 800-1600 from a decidedly different background (chat to pro-LoL/Overwatch/FortNite etc.) were involved in a four group double round-robin tournament with top half/bottom half cut-offs leading to a two game knockout to decide the winners for two brackets. Time format varied depending on stage in the competition. Voyboy won the upper (champs) bracket, Moistcr1tikal won the lower (consolation) bracket.

Anyway, it caused a bit of a kerfuffle in the chess community thanks to gatekeeping, shock/horror.
