What?! You can catch a Ninetails that can use that? Hmm.... I shall investigate this further.
Politoed has Drizzle as well. Basically, you can end people's shit with permanent weather hax now. It's a legitimite (if somewhat overpowered) strategy.
Yeah I remember someone telling me that, I'm gonna look for one as well, and I'm sure that pokemon isn't easy to find as well.

And so the Pokemon metagame gets EVEN MORE complex.

I think i'll just stick to my old copy of Blue. I do love a bit of theorycrafting but I think i'm so far behind on Pokemon's additional mechanics that I wouldn't know where to start.
Start how I started, look at the new pokemon, say "Okay These are my favourites" catch those favourites, make teams out of them, and experiment.

I did this back in Gen 3 and from then on I only catch the next gen pokemon so I can learn them. It's like learning a new class in an RPG... except with way more depth

That's awfully nice of you, the fc is a set of numbers on the trainer card right? I can't remember where it is.

It's in the Pal Pad in your key items pouch in the bag.

Drought+Ninetails might have been quite useful during the reign of Skarm-Bliss (FireRed/LeafGreen).
Boosted STAB Flamethrower and a higher speed? One dead metal bird, and I wouldn't even had needed Magneton for a change.

Oh wells.

About time they got that thing up and running.
It was delayed due to the power requirement needed to start it up in Japan, thus delayed because of the earthquake and tsunami. It was announced on the Pokemon GL website at the time.

OT: So my first day in the DL got me a........ Nidoran....
But I will keep coming back as I want one of those Drought Ninetails ;)

I also want a Porygon....
I loved my Porygon in Red :(
[sub][sub]Anyone have a Porygon, send me a PM ;)[/sub][/sub]

I knew that, and I'm totally fine with it. But I kept hearing some ridiculous rumors about it being pushed back until like fall or something of the sort, I didn't mean to come across as an asshat, but I was just getting tired of the speculation of when it would happen.

You got a Nidoran?

Nidorans get SHEER FUCKING FORCE!

Sheer Force is 'If your attack has a secondary effect, nullify the secondary effect and boost your attack by 30%' Doesn't seem like a big deal? Sheer Force NULLIFIES LIFE ORB DAMAGE! Life Orb is an item which boosts attack power but gives all attacks Recoil, so now you have Life Orb boost, Sheer Force Boost, on Nidoran.

Nidoking and Nidoqueen learn lots of moves like Poison Jab, Fire Blast, Blizzard, Thunder etc. Thunders chance to Paralyze? that gets converted into 30% more attack power + Life Orb. same for other attacks, it doesn't matter WHAT the secondary effect is (except for Recoil attacks, Sheer Force doesn't negate recoil, except in cases like Flare Blitz where it can also cause Burn) Sheer Force Negates it +30%

Seriously this alone jumped the Nidoran family from UU to OU

Hang one- isn't Groudon the only Pokemon that's supposed to be able to use Drought?

If they're doing this, then they better get on with making a Ruby-Sapphire remake, and give Groudon a new unique ability.... even though I'd have no use for one whatsoever. (I can one-shot the thing with my Swampert. So much for "legendady")

Sheer Force is specificly in the King/Queen form

The easiest way to tell what Ability you have is they have ability lines.

A Nidoran w/ Sheer Force must come from the Dream World and have Hustle as an abillity

Here's what you do for the best results.

Level Nidorino to level 43 (Learns Poison Jab a STAB Poison attack that will get a Sheer Force Boost)

Use Moonstone on Nidorino to Evolve to Nidoking and IMMEDIATLY learn Earth Power ANOTHER STAB attack that gets Sheer Force Boost (Since it MAY Lower Special Defense)

that way your Nidoking has 2 STAB Sheer Forced Moves off the bat, whats the Nidorans Nature? while EV training is only for the obsessed, the Nature influences stats

I'm assuming that everything you just said still works for Nidoqueen? Snce it was a female Nidoran I got from DW.

Uh no? the entire point of the Dream World allows pokemon to act out their dreams. Durant gets Truant a WORSE ability than it normally has, but Truant is because it wants a day off from Heatmor trying to kill it.

Pansage, Panpour and Pansear the Elemental Monkeys? get the Starters usual abilities of Overgrow, Torrent and Blaze. Because they want to be starters.

No other pokemon besides Groudon NATURALLY has Drought. Besides attacks that were once 'signiture' to a pokemon have spread out more and more

With the exception of Crunch instead of Poison Jab (So no STAB but still Sheer Forced) exactly the same
