Great job at disproving his argument! /sarcasmRandom Name 4 said:"Because the're the hero the internet deserves, but not the one it needs right now...and so we'll hunt them, because they can take it. And it's not really true to label 4chan as "anarchic", since there are a lot of users on there in opposition to Anarchism.
Go Anon though. I also support Assange.
The only I thing I don't get though, is why Paypal?
"are a lot of users on there"
No.. no you can't do that. They are legion, they are one? You're suggesting more than one.
And how would the government attack such a diffuse entity? They can't even manage to effectively shut down an organised terrorist group who are generally quite noticeable with all the bombs and guns.Witty Name Here said:I am constantly hoping for anon to do something so crazy, so insane that they get the wrath of most governments around, then when they realize they can't DDOS their way out of it, it will be fun to watch 4chan going insane when they realize they only have as much power as the government allows them to have...
Though it's starting to look like our government is unfortunately being "Patient" and not curb stomping anon already... How unfortunate.
IIRC(and that's a big discalaimer, because I can't remember my source) I have heard that WikiLeaks asked the pentagon if they wished to censor certain information that wasn't relevant to their point(soldier names etc) that could be damaging, but that wikileaks didn't have the necessary information to censor properly. And the response was a refusal, because they refused to accept that the leak existed.Awexsome said:United States for sure. If Wikileaks was all about just exposing the dirty secrets that government tries to cover up out of embarrassment then I'd be all for it.
But getting a list of critical foreign resources and locations the U.S. deems would have a severe impact on its economy or status if they were attacked the releasing that info to the world? Inexcuseable.
Besides you ALWAYS have to take everything Anon with a grain of salt. They also fight for being able to pirate as much as they can as much as they want.
Also, what are they going to do with them?number2301 said:And how would the government attack such a diffuse entity? When the entity is even more amorphous, and the only weapon needed is the LOIC then what exactly can the government do?
Of course as I always say in this situation, the government don't actually need to do anything. Just wait and anon will get bored.
