Me and my friend we're taking about this especially with the bunch of games with 2 behind them.

I'm excited about a lot of them but it seems they only launch them in one time frame area of the holidays so sometimes it's hard to keep up with everyone and/or enjoy the first game.

Maybe it's the fact I don't have as much money as I use too but still. What are you thoughts escapees

Yes, I do think they are. Some might be needed, like L2D, but it does get hard to get your moneys worth if the squel is right around the corner.

If anything I think games are coming out to late, I want my Silent Hill SM, Dead Rising 2, Bioshock 2, BUT NOT CRACKDOWN 2

How soon is too soon? 6 months, a year?

My opinion is that most of the games come out a bit late e.g Dead Rising 2 and some come out at the right time e.g L4D2.

Guitar Hero is the only one I can really get behind as far as sequels being released too early. But even then, GH5 came out a year after World Tour. I guess it's more that I kind of favor Rock Band now.

They should have 1 guitar hero/*insert name of musical instrument here* hero game and just release DLC more often.
Maybe have a poll on the dev's website asking vistors to choose the next artist track pack.

50 Songs for 800MS points sounds about right? I don't even play or have ever played a ___hero game either..

Im glad they are releasing a sequel for L4D a year later..games like that are not a "deep story with lots of character development"

Games like guitar hero with WAY to many sequels are getting me mad since its stupid to spend all the money to buy the same game but a couple more songs and maybe a tweak to the guitar.
The Fable series is perfect since they release when they want. Fable and Fable 2 and a few years in between and Fable 3 i dont think we'll see in a while.
IN conclusion i dont really see the problem with games with sequels during the holiday if they know people are going to buy the game and cmon let them make some money!

I feel alot of the recent sequels were released way too early. This is especially evident in ODST. I've encountered more glitches in that game than I care to imagine. I was hoping they'd clear it all up since the Halo 3 debacle.

Not really, most of the sequels I'm interested in have had at least 2 years in development, that's enough time for developers to make a true sequel, though obviously not all do.

The only sequals that get release too fast are the ones nobody wants! i have been waiting several years for Hitman 5. i am still waiting, *twitch*
