Well then I say no, yes they are made by a japanese team but they don't have many of the aspects of normal JRPG's.konor77 said:
Yes, it's a JRPG. Don't let the fact that it doesn't subscribe to a turn-based combat system like the classic Final Fantasy games fool you. JRPG literally means a Japanese-made RPG. That's all. If people attribute other labels and aspects to the term, that's their problem.
To me, a strict RPG involves turn-based combat, so no. It's an Action RPG.

Sounds like a JRPG to me, though, in all honesty, the only one that I would consider playing. I hate turn-based combat; so much so that even the pseudo turn-basedness of DA:O makes me hate that game, too...

Stats and leveling system, extensive item system, and strategic combat...RPG.
Set characters and plot-focused characterization, expansive world, and strict-line but intricate story...JRPG.
