This one time I had to turn in an English assignment, but I didn't actually have it finished, so I took the Word files I was working on and intentionally corrupted them by opening them in Notepad and adding a few random characters. My plan was to bring them in on a thumb drive, explain to the teacher that I tried to print them in the computer lab but it didn't work, and then show her that they were corrupted. She let me turn the assignment in next class instead, and I managed to finish it by then.
