Right I'm going to openly admit that I talk to myself quite a lot in private mind but still if there's nobody there and I'm bored I'll just talk about random things such as the game I'm playing or film I'm watching, I know it's supposed to be a sign of mental problems but I've also heard it's a sign of genius so out of interest do any of you do it? Do you think it makes me insane?

I sometimes talk to myself, on the odd occasion.
Then I quickly chuckle to myself and think / say "who the heck am I talking too?" and stop.

Sometimes happens if I get caught by surprise whilst gaming; got fragged on CoD4 and started off with "************, where the heck did you come from you little bastard, I'm gonna...(oh wait, talking to myself)"

I sing songs to myself and, much to their chagrin, anyone around me who's listening, if there is anyone.

I don't often speak to myself about much since god knows I'm not interesting enough to speak to; even I am aware of that.
I usually just think with my inside voice (which is silent).

Shoot, singing to yourself counts too? *erases sometimes and puts all the time no matter who is around*
yeah, if that counts, I think I might be nutty.

I get into arguments with myself...they usually end up with the little buggers in my head killing each other in violent manners...It's fun to watch really.

Now and then. It's like I need to tell myself what I'm trying to accomplish or trying to do or going to do.

Occasionally I'll find myself having a conversation with myself.

FOR THE LAST TIME, I'M NOT CRAZY!

I do it largely from habit, particularly when I'm working on my novel or a story--it helps to speak dialog aloud. I also think a lot and need to articulate my ideas to make them clear in my own mind (if you can't explain it, you don't know it), so I speak them aloud or write them down quite often.

I don't feel any need to be embarrassed and stop doing it. So what if other people think I'm weird? The only thing that embarrasses me is when they make a big deal out of it, and I'm working on getting over that, too.

If I do, I'm usually having arguments with myself.

Or I tell myself my problems, like I'm talking to a psychiatrist or something.

Crazy times.

Quite often, it helps my thought process sometimes. Or it might just be that I like the sound of my own voice.

Most often when I'm on the escapist I will sometimes read posts out loud. Or I mumble to myself when doing some arduous task (like cleaning the kitchen)

Yeah, but I'm not sure if it's majority just thoughts or actually talking to myself. It's most often when I'm trying to work something out or just done something stupid.

I'll usally sing to my self or when playying games I'll talk myself through my stratgy. Used to make up stories for what ever SNES I was playing at the moment. It's like my dad says,it's ok if you talk to yourself it's when you answer back that somethings up
