Everyone loves bacon, right? I mean come on, it's BACON. Though, like steak, it can be cooked (well, fried) to different degrees. So how do you like your bacon? Floppy? Crunchy? Or somewhere inbetween?

Somewhere in the middle, but leaning towards the floppy side.

Crunchy is fine as well though. All bacon tastes good. =D

I have never had bacon. Ever. And I'm not a vegetarian either.

the best type of bacon is peameal bacon (back bacon)

Bacon was the first gift from the gods. It's the divine food, and exists only to comfort us during this weary mortal existence, and serve as a small taste of the riches that await us in the afterlife.

That's okay. I've had bacon and I HATE it!

Edit: I don't eat anymore, so no turkey bacon either.

Can't I have my bacon that is BOTH crunch and floppy? You know, where the ends are all curly and crunchy and the middle is all tender and floppy-like?

I do not like bacon.
I'm just not a fan of the grease taste it leaves in my mouth.
I've tried to have them in egg sandwiches but I just end up yanking the damn strips out with a small bite and its like oh joy the rest of my sandwich is just egg and I get a huge mouthful of bacon now...

It just...tastes good..?

I'm not sure. I don't eat it often, (less than once a month), but it does taste pretty good. Far over hyped as a food, but definitely a good compliment to a brunch of pancakes. ^_^

Well, darn it, I won't have bacon then!
That'd be the "somewhere inbetween" option. It's very difficult to get an equal consistency throughout the whole strip.

Grab some bay scallops and jumbo shrimp next time you BBQ, wrap the bay scallops in some bacon and kabob them with some jumbo shrimp. Then BBQ them to perfection. That is a generous helping of absolute perfection there my friend.

Oh, I know. I'm a cafe chef, and I have to do SO many breakfasts, all involving bacon. And everyone wants it subtly different. Crunchy, crackly, tender, not overdone, almost burnt... grrr.

The only worse thing to cook is poached eggs. Seriously, who goes to a cafe and asks for poached eggs cooked "all the way through"? They are SUPPOSED to be soft in the middle, so you can get eggy goodness all over your toast!
