I enjoyed the normal Arkham city and I want to know if it's worth buying the GOTY edition for the extra story. In your comments could you please refrain from spoilers.

Tl;DR: Is Arkham City GOTY worth buying for Harley's Revenge?

Hmm. Personally, that was one of my least favorite parts of the game. I don't know why, it just didn't seem to impress me as much as the main story parts of Arkham City. I would go into detail, but you know, spoilers.

I'm not really sure if it's worth getting alone, but as someone who has never played the original version of Arkham City, the GOTY edition as a whole is definitely worth a buy.

Why don't you just buy the DLC? Do you not own the game anymore or something?

I've only played the base game, but I want to pick up the GOTY edition. Has all the outfits and Challenge Map DLC, so there's that.

As far as HQR goes, from what I've seen of it online (playthroughs), as a standalone DLC, it isn't worth it. As part of the package, it's acceptable. I wouldn't pay $10 for barely 2 hours of new content, especially when half of it seems to be rejiggered maps and setpieces from the regular game. They even took the HQR end credit music from the "mourn your parents" scene in Crime Alley.

I bought the microsoft version and to buy the DLC you need to create an account, which it doesn't let me do. I've tried so many things with ideas from many forums and so on and still can't get it to work. So I figured with this release of the GOTY version with the extra missions and characters (Nightwing etc)it's as good a time as any to get the Steam version, if the extra stuff is worth it.

I really liked the Harley DLC, though I suppose some people could say it's a bit short for what it costs.

They made Robin cooler than Batman. How the fuck is that possible?!

Anyway Arkham City is a great game stood on its own, I assume the GOTY edition still costs the usual £40? (that's $60 I think) so getting the DLC along with it is only a bonus.

I think the twist that Harley's Child is actually Batmans was worth the buy alone, plus all of that stuff about Nightwing and Robin's forbidden love was very well put together. And moving it out of any location in the game to the displayed representation of rural germany was a very nice touch. Oh shit, you said no spoilers...

VERY EASILY. Everyone judges robin by Burt Wards standards, Robins has been an official bad ass since the late 80's. Although if you think Robin is cool, Nightwing is gonna blow your mind...

Well the Harley Quinn's Revenge DLC is fairly quality, but... It's just to short and doesn't add anything new in terms of either plot or gameplay. I suppose it could be worth it if you haven't played as Robin before, but other than that there's nothing really new in it at all.

You can get through it in about two hours, and they don't add any challenge maps (which is a real shame, as one of the Predator locations in the DLC is really fun). There's no new gameplay elements (unless you're new to Robin) and Harley Quinn's titular Revenge is probably one of the most dull and unsurprising plots I've ever heard. Seriously, no spoilers here but I was really expecting Harley to get a villain upgrade for this DLC and she doesn't.

Is it worth it...? Only if you really want more content and already have the other DLC.

It was fun enough to play through and i liked Harley herself, but I thought it was really lacking in the story department. If you don't already have arkham city, I'd say go for it but if you've played the game you're not missing out on much if you just skip the DLC
