What is the best place in your opinion that game players can have actual intelligent conversations about games instead of the usual rhetoric of (Wii is gay, Halo is gay, PS3 is gay, etc)

Since "Worst" is also in the title, I think Yahoo Games is by far shittiest attempt at video game reporting by an otherwise acceptable news source.
Every so often I'll be checking my email, and I'll see a headline about games that makes me check it out. Every story/pictorial is ends up being complete dreck, you'd think a bunch of 6 year olds are just writing whatever they want. The other day I saw a story about "rival franchises" with the headline being Guitar Hero vs. Rock Band. "Sure, I'll check this out," I say to myself. Following this actual, genuine rivalry, they have Madden 2010 vs. NCAA 2010. WTF?

I was at GameSpot for about a year, it was alright - I should try out some other sites. The Escapist great though, I like it here so far.
I like the Escapist, It's been my first forum, and overall, a pleasurable experience all around.
However, the forums on GT are horrific, I've only skimmed through comments and the occasional thread, but hot damn are there a lot of trolls and fanboys.

I have delicous brain sex with the Escapist and only the Escapist when it comes to videogames, as I can always be sure the hot oozing information ejaculated across my cerebral cortex is always relevant and delivered with a smile. And now I have to go wash my brain.
No Game informer is mostly ad space and if you pay attention it's also biased for whoever pays the most in ad space.Kalezian said:

The Escapist probably has the best community of gamers that aren't complete wankers - you can actually have discussions here.
Screwattack has an ok community, so does Red vs Blue.
Gametrailers is probably one of the worst - every thread descends into flaming, and don't even think about the video comments. Anything Xbox related is filled with Sony trolls denouncing it, and the reverse applies as well.
