I've never played the sequel, but the original was awesome, from the hacky-slashy maimathon dungeon crawling to the terrible voice acting. I personally loved the archer because of his voice clip whenever a teammate died. It was this blank, unemotional, "No."
Not "NOOOOOOO!", not "No!" or "...no....", but "No."
Funny story: My mum and I were playing BGDA, and we were on the crypt level. Both of us favoring swords and bows over blunt things, we had sold the +1 mace that could have come incredibly handy with the last boss, an evil relic that sends waves of undead after you before floating down to let you beat on it for a while. I died from trying to run and shoot at the same time, and my mom was running low on mana. And so she had to run around the room pursued by skeletons while her mana regenerated, stop, fire a few magic missiles, and start running again in a process that made it seem like she was coaching an undead track team. This went on for three hours. It was long, but so hilarious that to this day we both start laughing at the very mention of that boss.
