Chest hair is only acceptable if your chest is both tanned and pectacular (see Hugh Jackman). Otherwise, it's gross.
My chest is tanned and pectacular and I have no chest hair (though this is a genetic trait of my kind ;D).
I believe I have your approval? :p

Assuming you're not lying, of course.
:D.

And no, not lying lol.

I've got very little hair on my chest and I'm happy for that. My ass on the other hand...

I have enough chest hair for it to be annoying and unattractive, without quite enough for it to be manly. If I could be arsed, I'd shave it off.
But with stubble issues etc. that's far too much effort. It stays, I guess.

I do not like chest hair. It's curly, scratchy, and not attractive to me in the slightest.

my brother had that too and it is hilarious because the girls in my class say that I am related to batman.

but to be on topic.
I like the term man sweater. it sounds cosy. and It depends on the person. Any guy that I have gone out with they usually have little or no hair. but it does not bother me. the only time it is a problem is when it pokes out your shirt and you wear a gold chain through it .

I guess it makes sense that if society demands ladies shave their legs and armpits, it should also demand that men shave their chests. And probably also their backs. Kind of weird that it doesn't, a lot of women seem to think it's kind of gross. And really, it's only fair that similar demands be made of both sexes.

Honestly, though, I tend to see women who think chest hair is disgusting as a little bit childish. Looking for boys, not men. More interested in monogamous sex than a relationship.

Which is cool because it doesn't actually make a much of a difference to me. I'll just be more acrid with my scoffing whenever she declares how oh-so in love she is.

i vote YAY purely because I am a hairy man and i'm damn proud of it. So anytime a woman or young lady says they don't like/date guys with a hairy chest, i reply, "listen honey, men were meant to be hairy, if you've only been with guys who don't have chest hair then you've never been with a real man"

that being said i'd like to clarify that i'm not some INSANELY hairy wolfman, I'm just Italian ;)

I also have facial hair (i see some people don't like facial hair), again not a lot, just some scruff...

Mine looks like a phoenix flying out of my belly button. And like a phoenix, if I shaved it, itd just be reborn stronger and stronger.

I do shave my chest hair, it looks gross, and I was on the high school wrestling team so the practice is quite normal to me.

As a guy, its inappropriate to shave unless you are a male model or gorilla hairy.

I have a little strip of very thin chest hair and then it all goes down to mah belly, but still pretty thin.

I don't like guys with a ton of it, but a little like I have is perfectly fine.

I have hair all over my body except my back palms and other obvious areas. It keeps me warm at night

Edit: just realized that half the people think im gross :( but at the same time realized that it would be even more gross on a woman. :)

This. And even then, it's still only acceptable.
(/thread in the first response. Nice.)

I like some chest hair. but not so much that you look like an animal trying to pass itself off as human. My Dad has a hairy back as well as a hairy chest, and I kind of draw the line there. In fact, I find this Hawt:http://quemas.deviantart.com/gallery/?offset=120#/d2laivg
