The name of the show is Game Warriors

Here's the plot. It involves three gamers, A PS3 owner, an Xbox 360 owner, and a Wii owner, all young adults who are, essentially, down on their luck. The PS3 owner is a bit of a tech head that can't get one of his inventions patented. The 360 owner is a professional Cyber Athlete who has had his fifteen minutes of fame and is having a time making ends meet. The Wii owner is an out of work writer who can only get a job writing children's books and practices martial arts as a means of release as well as his system.

Alright, we've established the characters, now for the sci-fi/fantasy twist! On the downloadable channels of the respectable systems (Xbox Live, Playstation Network and Wii Shop Channel) a mysterious program comes up as available for download that appears only to the three gamers. All three are somehow transported into a disturbingly dystopian world inhabited by a race of creatures who summoned the gamers to save their world and speak of them as the Heroic Trinity. The PS3 gamer's very PS3 becomes a tech suit of armor that he wears that puts anything with an i before it to shame (Think Iron Man but with more hardware.) The 360 owner's 360 becomes a generic suit of battle armor. Helmet, ammo belt, grenades, etc. and a headset to call other warriors to arms and to command. The Wii owner's Wii Remote and Nunchuk comes with him and basically become an extension of his imagination, anything he thinks they become or will enact. Lightsaber, AK-47, extensions of his hands doing telekinesis, etc. It is upto these three gamers, now warriors in this world, to help unite factions of the shattered world together to stop an all-powerful evil from destroying all. The factions of this world involve cameos of table top gamers established as thinkers and mathematicians, PC gamers which are revealed as Alchemists and magicians, and old characters from the past. Think the old Captain N show but a much more epic scale. The three heroes fight against themselves, they don't get along, they break apart, they team up, they have different motivations. Some want to stay, some want to leave.

Feel free to take the poll and give me feedback.

On paper it actually doesn't sound that terrible. The armor sounds decent but other than that it's not that great. I'd play it as a forum RPG maybe but other than that not really.

I don't see any way you can make this show good.
It's just so...
Childish.
At face value, maybe.... But I was trying to establish how a gaming mentality can relate to a hero archetype. PS3, the Tech-head or the False Hero. 360, the world weary warrior who feels the thrill on the battlefield. and Wii, the Sage or....you know what, I like the idea and if you don't like it that's your opinion but don't shit in my easter basket over it.

No, sorry, that would not work as a sitcom.
I wasn't writing it as a sitcom, I was writing it at best as an action drama or at least a possible flash video identical to Unforgotten Realms or Doomsday Arcade. But yeah, wouldn't work as a sitcom.

....chill out, bro. You posted this here and asked for feedback. Don't get all defensive just because someone told you something you didn't want to hear. It doesn't really give anyone a good first impression.

I'd watch it on the Escapist in 10-15 minute episodes.

for that it would be great.

I would not watch 30-60 minute episodes of it on television though

So you're upset because people gave their opinions and you didn't like them? If you're so easily upset at having your idea called rubbish, don't tell people who have every right to say so.
Maybe you should keep your ideas to yourself if your gonna get so defensive about them.

Oh, Welcome to the Escapist by the way.

To be honest I can't really see this working in any visual medium. If you went for live action you'd have to use cutting edge technology otherwise I'd put money on it being the but of many a late night monolouge, if you went flash the concept wouldn't support the feel of the medium, comedies work in flash and if you do it flawlessly than a drama could work (rarely). I think if you work on it so your point isn't so... obvious, you might be able to make it work as a short story.

In terms of what might help you, maybe drop the consoles names, instead of going with ps3 guy is the standard ps3 player, 360 is standard 360 guy, etc. delevop them as characters. Use the idea of archetypes in gaming to mingle with archtypes in fiction. It could work than but as is I don't think it's going anywhere.

In shorter, develop original characters and try it as a short story
