Poll: Daria - did you watch/like it?

I'm sure many of you on the escapist are the type of person who would have enjoyed Daria. A cartoon on MTV about teenagers and teen things like kissing and whatnot. It was enjoyable and I loved it, it was even better than Beavis and Butthead. Anyways, answer the poll, I think a lot of you will either love it nor not have watched it. Where I'm from everyone heard of Daria and it was funny even when we were young and didn't get all the references. Now that I watch it again on youtube (they have all the episodes there) Its a whole 'nother level of funny.

It was the kind of show for people who think they're smarter than cliche teenager stereotypes, which is what this site is all about!

Considering all my experiences with the show was when I was 5-8, I don't remember it that well. I recall, however, that Daria was very deadpan, there was a principal whose eyes gave me nightmares, and there was a Show Within A Show called 'sick sad world'.

I don't seem to remember it fondly though, I just remember it.

Don't forget that the average gamer is over 25 years old. Sometimes the young folk just visit the boards more and are easier to notice than us old fogies.

One of my all time favourite cartoons. Always loved the sarcastic wit and deadpan observation of the world. Still watch it if its on.

The Head? The Maxx? Not to mention other MTV late night greats like Aeon Flux, Undergrads, and I'm pretty sure Duckman was in there as well. Can't wait until Adult Swim picks up some of these shows. Hell I'd even go for some Daria and Beavis and Butthead.

It was alright, I watched it when I was eight or so. I wasn't old enough to get it but I did like it.

Personally I liked Beavis & Butthead more. Daria just seemed...boring I guess is the word for it. This thread reeks of nostalgia...that nasty little bug that makes mediocre things from our past seem much greater than they really were.

I remember the Head, that shit freaked me out! There was also a show about some guys in space and one guy had ten Heads. I can't find it anywhere though. Cartoons of the 90's were the best, and thats not the nostalgia talking.

I have every season and movie on my pc, and I absolutely love it. I didn't see it when it first was around, cos I didn't have MTV (still don't, and really don't mind it), but it was recommended to me a while back, and it's one of my favourite shows now.

Wow. What a prime example of why I only occasionally liked the show. Preachy, cynical while often forgetting to be funny, and oddly boring.

Still has some hilarious moments though, I just don't like being lectured by cartoons that are supposed to be funny.

I caught a few episodes back in the day before it was canceled on terestrial TV here in the UK, I enjoyed it,but I cought it just as I was reaching my teen years then it was canceled and never got to see it again. Pity from what I saw I liked it.
