I may not be a Wii fanboy myself but I enjoy playing it.
In answer to your original question: of course there are wii fanboys. They're the ones that always make excuses for how bad No More Heroes is.
However, I bet wii fanboys spend less time on game forums and more time on Twilight forums.

Princess... I meant twilight princess forums.

my brother has a dumbass freind who thinks the wii is better than any other consoles. he also thinks macs can play pc games natively (without windows) and (2 years ago) that there is a 32 gb ipod nano.

i should edit:
he not only thinks the wii has better games but he thinks they are more powerful than a xbox 360 or a ps3

Of course they exist. I enjoy the Wii, myself and will stand by Nintendo for the most part.

Fanboys have to deal with it not being the best, though.

I have a theory about this, actually. A large amount of Wii fanboys still exist, but most of them no longer post on the internet because they realized that it's far better to just play the games you want instead of defending your choices against a bunch of people who have already made up their minds against them.

Am I the only person who remembers when Nintendo was infamous for it's fanboys?

Oh yes, I know one in particular who treats it like his religion. Whenever Nintendo does something that could be considered odd (Like the vitality sensor) then it must be because Nintendo has a grand master plan to get all casual gamers to convert to more regular gaming. It gets irritating after a while.

I had to answer yes.. I think Nintendo did a couple things right with the Wii. For starters, they have a basic and pretty easy to use online store. They have a great back catalog of previous games, which is nice. I like not having to dig up my NES/SNES/Genesis/Etc out of the basement when I want to play Sonic, SMB, Super Metroid.

Beyond that, I think the Nintendo has some great IP's and they did them pretty well on the Wii. Metroid Prime 3 was great, as was NSMBW.

I'm a Nintendo fanboy in general. So I love Wii just for the virtual console.
I can play River City Ransom on a 40 inch screen, plus I can actually stop at some point and pick up where I left off. And, yes, I'm not in it for the graphics.

Yes... yes there is...
And when the moon is out and red, you'd better run.
Or just don't say anything about the Wii.

Pretty misguided thread as there are two questions being asked. There will be a definitive answer for the first, but an opinionated answer for the second.

Perhaps a better title would be "Are you a Wii fanboy?" or perhaps something less insulting.

There is always fanboys for everything.

I myself don't understand the bashing of the Wii. I'd much rather want some bashing on the developers that screw the console over all the time.
I agree completely. I call myself a hardcore gamer, yet I still play casual games as well. My mum had a Wii for Christmas from my dad, since she's been going on about getting one for over a year. It was bundled with Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort. I played them both and enjoyed them greatly, I thought they were much more fun than some of the other 'hardcore' games I've played recently. It's by no means my favourite, and I'm not a Wii fanboy, but the Wii is still an extremely good console that's sadly been let down by some (not many, but some) third party developers.
