I'm incapable of eating McDonald's. Even the smell makes me nauseous. Strangely, any other fast food place is fine.
It might not seem it with my username, but I am in fact femaleTexas Joker 52 said:Well my good sir, now you do know someone who would put their body through that. If I was paid to, I would gladly eat nothing but McDonalds food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and for in-between snackings. Then again, seeing as I already essentially do that with a diet consisting of pretty much nothing but french fries, albeit homemade or restaurant, while being UNDERWEIGHT and remarkably healthy, I would say I'm already doing something similar to that.Alucard 11189 said:No I detest McDonalds. I did watch Supersize me but I thought that it was a ridiculous documentary. I mean, who would purposefully eat nothing but fast food for breakfast, lunch and dinner for a prolonged period of time. I know of noone who would put their body through that. I may not eat at McDonalds, but if I am at a friends and they ask whether or not we go to KFC and get a bargain bucket, I will always put my contribution in, I love KFC.
Now, I'm not bashing on your opinion. I'll agree, fast food for every meal is extremely unhealthy and bad for you. And before anyone says anything, yes, I know that I should have a much better diet for MY health. And yes, I am actually underweight. 19 years old and just a little over 120 pounds.
OT: Yes, I do still eat at McDonalds. Its cheap, and has average food. Not great, but not bad either. Still, I definitely prefer someplace like, say, Colters Barbecue. Best fries and beef brisket in Texas! As for Supersize Me... While I have never seen it, from what I've heard, I cant help but feel whoever participated in that experiment is something of a wimp when it comes to fast food. Though, thats like pitting a fasting monk against a 5-time Hot-Dog Eating Champion. The difference in lifestyle and diet really do skew the results for something like that.
I burn through about one of those a day.scorptatious said:Oh geez, I remember that cereal. I didn't realize they got rid of it. We still have Recess Puffs though:
Om nom nom.
No, thank goodness. I'm pretty sure the title 'hotdog' is not really a misnomer.ravensheart18 said:I hope you don't eat hotdogs.floppylobster said:Thanks for all your replies. It was never the weight thing that stopped me eating at McDonalds. It was the Chicken McNuggets.
Now I know McDonalds now claim they don't use meat like this any more, but I don't care because (a) they once did and fed it to me, and (b) at their prices they must be doing something similar.
Actually, I heard that business increased for McDonalds as a result of that film. Mind you, that's probably because it forced McDonalds to change their menu a bit and introduce more healthy options.floppylobster said:A few years ago a lot of McDonalds food issues were exposed through the documentary Supersize Me. After that McDonalds took a huge hit in business, but since then they've slowly recovered. So. do you still eat it?
As for me, I stopped eating it maybe 8 eight years ago but if I'm in a foreign country I will occasionally still eat fries or an apple pie because I know what I'm getting. (I swore off their 'meat' for life).
