Indeed I do, but if you take the community out of the internet, the internet is a very innovative if not revolutionary tool that has ushered in a new era of the flow of information that can be instantly accessed. If I wanted to know the distance of the earth to the moon, I can just type that in the search bar and...
Look at that!
Although even this is nothing. Potentially someone who just searches for a single subject on the internet for knowledge would not need to read multiple books in a library like before.
It is something thousand years ago would be regarded as magical or divine, they would probably see he internet as a god of knowledge and chaos perhaps, thinking that when people use the internet they go mad and insane from the knowledge.
Despite that, the "internet community" as it calls itself is a complete joke which is why I see it as entertainment in some ways.
Nowhere have I seen people who constantly need to point out "that's your opinion" in a debate and expect everyone else to unanimously agree with them.
Nowhere have I seen so many people mindlessly worship some anime image board and let that board run their lives and tell them what they can/can't like that if they disagree with are viewed upon as sub-human or idiotic for doing so.
Nowhere have I seen so much ranting about some crap that goes down in a game/movie.
Although then again, the internet is still in a young state and it is only time until everything gets a restructuring which may be either the best thing that happens to the internet or the worst. Best in that it makes people more careful about what they say, worst in that it may potentially block the flow of knowledge that makes the internet so powerful if it is overdone.
In short:
Yeah I hate the community, but the internet is cool.
