I've tried nicknames with her.

She doesn't like them T^T

One day, one day I shall find something.
To be fair, they're probably shite nicknames.

OP: I don't use that many.

I like it when people have them for me but I think they sound a bit wrong coming from me.

I tend to use sweetheart the most.

Your name is stupid. It's like the worst name to come up with stuff for. I demand you change your name.

One girl I dated I used to call my little cranberry. Because she was a little bit sweet and a little bit tart. :p
She found that highly amusing.

Mine is a bit unusual . I call him my "scumbag". Because that's what he is. In a joking way, of course. If we are playing FF14, I refer to him as my "Scummoner" and if we are on WoW I refer to him as "Scumkin" for when he is playing the boomkin. I've always called him scumbag though. He was always Scumbag Dan before we got together.

I don't have one appart from "sweetie" for my boyfriend (and I have a bad habit of sounding condecending when I use it) but he has a few for me. "Fluffy Butt" is the most common. I'm torn between thinking it's embarrasing and sweet.

I like my grandparents petnames though. They call eachother "Sweet". Just plain and simple x)

The closest I have personally come to someone who might have called me a pet name (I'm non-sexual/romantic) is a teacher I had who had one for everyone in the class, except me... He would open class with "Good morning my little flowers, and Mr. [my last name]."

Never anzthing like that. I mean not frequently used, and even when I do use it I use it without thinking.

That said, I always give my girlfriend a name by which only I call them. My fiancee was named Stalin, it fit her personality :)

Sure. The fella I keep locked in the cellar I've come to call "Jailbird". He mostly calls me expletives, no cute nicknames.

I call my fiancé Angel, Baby, love, gorgeous girl, sometimes sunflower (she has eyes that are brown in the middle with lots of little gold flecks around them). She calls me Angel, Baby, or love. There are a few others but we generally only use those in specific circumstances.

I like pet names, I don't think they're embarrassing as long as they aren't too soppy. Most of our friends just think it's cute.

I call my girlfriend Haleyquinn or Rabbit sometimes, but the normal pet names like sweetie or darling or babe just make me cringe.

Yeah... I'm not sure if I should like or dislike pet names yet, but I still find it weird to get them from your so-called "friends"... especially that last one...
Welp... From now on I'm going to call you George Ploony. I'm sorry. It has to be done.

^ That's what this fool calls me.

I've also been called princess and carrot before. Princess stuck around in a weird way in that I like it for video game nicknames, like in Animal Crossing and Pokemon X.

I don't tend to give out nicknames, but if I do, they're not really romantic or interesting. Specifically one person I used to call boy.

Uh... Any nicknames for T0ad, would just be me seething his name in anger or, "gross" considering how much I use that around him. >.>

Cheese, babs, acorn, normal corn, pygmy...

Pretty much any word that comes to my mind. No objections have been raised. Except to pygmy. And fuhrer.

I can't imagine using any myself without them sounding uncomfortable or forced. Maybe if there was more of a personal twist to them rather just the usual 'honey' and stuff, but even then it would probably be more of a context based thing than a permanent nickname...

I called my boyfriend Goose back when we were in the air force together. Ah, those were the days.

*sighs* If only I had the looks of George Clooney... Then, I would love that pet name a bit more than I do now for some reason...

My girlfriend is adorable and, prone to doing adorable things so there was a point when I was basically just calling her 'adorable'. But while playing through Legend of Zelda classic and, watching various Zelda themed youtube videos, we got into the habit of making fun of Dodongos. Somehow, Adorable and Dodongo merged and formed my pet-name for her when she does adorable things, thus making her Dongos.

My boyfriend and I have been dating a year and a half now and we don't do pet names, neither of us. I feel like maybe if I get engaged to him I might start, but I just don't feel right saying that sort of stuff to just a boyfriend.

My girlfriend of six years and I call each other all kinds of stupid shit. Most of it sticks, one way or the other. "Panda" is probably the most common of the lot... no idea how the hell that started up. And lots of playful rhymes and puns and what have you. Makes me feel ten years younger when we're like that... which isn't particularly useful, seeing as I'm 21. Q.Q

Maybe it will come in handy once I'm old and gray.
