Poll: Do you kiss your mom on the cheek?

Ever since I was little I would always kiss my mom on the cheek, but after elementary school I was made fun off for doing that. I just didn't know what was wrong about giving your own mom (you know that person who brought you into this world) a kiss on the cheek.

And I still do it even after all these years and it really seems that I'm the only person who still does it. (From where I live)

So my question is this. Why is it wrong to give a peck on the cheek to your own mother? And why is it so shameful to do it in front of other people?

Don't think I've ever kissed my mother, wouldn't want to either. We were never that close though.

I only started hugging when I say bye since I left home and she requests it, seeing as I see her around once a month it's fair enough.

If I'm leaving somewhere, might give my dad a kiss on the cheek (more cheek on cheek style, but you get it).

I rarely get to see my mother, what with her being on the other side of the world and all, so any time i do see her, it's a long embracing hug. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

A hug and peck on the cheek now and then is the least I can do to repay her.
