I am fully expecting the irony of this thread should the poll in fact be eaten.

But really, I am getting sick of this. The forums have been glitching out for months on my computer, and I'm getting sick of it.

So, should the poll be eaten, let us move the discussion to how the website could be fixed.

EDIT
Holy Crap! I see the poll!

*AUDIBLE GASP* The poll works!

OT: Mine haven't (I don't make threads) but most polls I've clicked on have been eaten.

THERE'S A POLL ON THIS THREAD! I'M TOTALLY TRIPPING BALLS HERE!

OT: I haven't had mine eaten, partly by virtue of making three threads a year or so.

Eating polls is at least preferable to not showing any threads at all, which has been happening with disturbing frequency lately.

Hey, your poll works! Every time I post a poll-topic, it's never been eaten. Granted, I've only done one or two...or four, I dunno. I don't make many threads of my own.

All the time! Don't you know why? The Escapist has an insatiable hunger. It eats polls, posts and even whole people.

Poor Jimmy. He'll never see his family again.

Because The Escapist ate them too!

The trick to getting a poll to work is to never edit any posts.

Anytime you edit a post in a poll thread, if you're the OP, it's got a chance of corrupting it. Even if it's 5 pages in.

Also you have to get it through without a lag, so during ZP is always a bad time.

I think my first ever poll was eaten, but since then I've never had a problem with it. However, that one was down to a simple fact which I will now describe.

Quite simply, although some polls are eaten, I think another part of it is that people who are new to the site simply think that typing 'Poll' into the title of the thread will cause a poll to magically appear. So when one doesn't, they think it's a site problem, not their own knowledge (or lack thereof) that's the issue. Mostly, the polls are eaten, but I think the actual lack of a poll that I just mentioned is also an issue when dealing with newer forum members...

I only very rarely make threads with polls, but I don't recall ever having one eaten.

I don't make many threads, less than few with polls, but everyone I did worked.

Like a poll munching demon... wait... *Narrows eyes...* Let me try it again. My polls have been disappearing like the 2000 Florida ballots. That came out wrong but yes, the Escapist has been eating my polls but it?s okay. It doesn?t bother me so much.

This. I'm going to be blunt and say the Escapist has been acting quite shit with me lately. Threads not showing up, messages not getting deleted, pages loading way to long or not loading at all etc. Tech needs to fix this becuase it is becoming really annoying.

I haven't made one recently, but mine have never been eaten. I don't know why the Escapist is so hungry lately.
