Poll: Einstein vs Stephen Hawking.Your opinions.

I'm bringing this up because me and my friends are in a strange debate.
It started with a silly video on Youtube that got us all talking, and then opinions clashed. Soon people were pulling out history books or bringing up theories etc.etc.

Basically, it's ridiculous, and since the Escapist community is made up of many very intelligent, sensible people (Oh I do love to flatter) I was hoping you fine people could bring some insight and help tip the scales so that me and my friends/colleagues can hate each other for another reason.

Call me a cretin, but I honestly do not believe Hawking has contributed anything worthwhile to physics except an endless stream of incomprehensible equations.

Einstein, on the other hand: photoelectric effect, which has inherently a lot of applicability.

I personally think it's incomparable, they are both mighty pioneers in the world of science, comparing the two is stupid.

My Dad is mates with Hawking's Son too. heh.

Indeed, but arguments (especially one based on a 'rap song') are rarely intelligent engagements. Hence, my frustration.
