Yay. Its a serious show that looks like it can inspire some clean debates around here on the topics it covers.

I enjoyed it, very smart and informative, though I wish there were more jokes

I love it. See, I saw a link to one of his videos a long time ago and thought that it was absolutely great and then I'm pretty sure a year passed and I didn't hear anything else from him. His videos are fantastic and intelligent and really make a lot of sense. They not only give his personal opinions that can provoke discussion, but acts as a great comment of the video games industry as a whole. I'm glad that we get a video series like this. It's exactly what the Escapist needs.

Zero Punctuation with clever subjects, comedic appeal and not as many shameless knob jokes with a more like-able narrator.
So, in fact, not like Zero Punctuation at all. Yay.

Yay from me. I'm just glad the Escapist finally brought in a animated film actually about video games and aren't just related to them in some shape or form.

I think it's pretty damn good. Better than other series on this site (not naming any names).

It's interesting, though I think I'm still trying to make up my mind about it. I like the in depth analysis, but I don't feel as if I can trust what the guy says. I love reading the articles here on The Escapist, from thoughtful game journalists, and the truth is that what Extra Credits' content reminds me of is that. But now, instead of being delivered to me in the form of an informative article, it's in this new medium that I don't feel like I trust as much. A part of it is the voice. I don't know what the hell it is, but the voice doesn't feel to me like it's coming from an adult. The articles I read here are by game journalists, and I feel like if they say something that there's a degree of journalistic integrity to it. But Extra Credits is like this kid saying things that while they sound perfectly reasonable, could just be conjecture. And to back up the fact that I'm already having a hard time knowing if I should trust the voice or not, is the fact that the video part of the video is a Zero Punctuation style cartoon, only I've been listening to the good Ben Croshaw long enough and reading his articles long enough that I can feel like I can trust what he says even when I disagree with his opinions. Part of the problem is that for a show like Croshaws, which is intentionally a comedy with heavy informative content (it's almost like the Daily Show of the video game industry) the cartoon style works fine. But for a show that ditches the vast majority of the comedy element, prefering instead to be almost strictly informative, the cartoon presentation combined with the voice just makes me feel uneasy about taking anything he says at face value. With time maybe he'll earn my trust, but, for now those elements of the show just turn me off to it, even though I intend to keep watching... at least until I've made up my mind about it.

It's not gutbustingly funny, but it is funny, and I think that enhances the presentation given the subject matter.

It's certainly better than most of the new videos on this site, but it needs some work. The ideas and commentary and everything are good, but I don't see why these episodes are any longer than four or so minutes long.

At first, I thought it was a Zero Punctuation clone, but then again, it works. I'm adding it to my current rotation.

I like it a lot. Not much to say beyond that. It feels much longer than many of the other series' I enjoy (A Good Knight's Quest, for instance, tends to have really short episodes).

Some of the videos on the escapist, such as ENN or or loading ready run, are meant to be carried on their comedic merits alone and that is fine but at times you yearn for something more and i find that this new show provides me with such. sometimes a more serious comedic approach with factual information is what is what you need to get your hearty laugh for the day.

I enjoy it. Alot of this site is comedy, LRR, Unskippable(I realize they're more or less the same thing) ZP, and Doraleous. It's a nice change to get a serious topic discussion going on.

I like it and would be happy with it continuing but I can see a lot of people not liking it, as it can be quite dull. Personally though, I enjoy the topics and have found it to be interesting

I used to follow thhis series when it was still youtube exclusive so I'm a little biased (now having the chance for an episode every week rather than every month) but I think that EC is a good balance to the Unskippable and ZP segments, something to actually discuss gaming.

While ZP and Unskippable do discuss gaming somewhat their approach is focussed on other things, as it should be because these segments aren't about the gaming industry so much as the product.

I guess my approach to EC vs. the other more humour based shows on the escapist is the same as my approach to watching political debates and news programs vs. watching two and a half men (again). Both are needed for a good roster of programmes.
