What is your favorite band instrument?

Mine is bass, mostly because of Motorhead.

They did an awesome job of remaking "Whiplash".

P.S. I would have put "the hairy banjo" into the poll, but I thought I would be classy this time.

Drums, obviously.

Aside from the fact that I'm a drummer, they keep everyone in time.

Bass, mostly because I'm a bassist and I'm biased like that.

But also because(along with the drummer)it holds the music together and makes it better.

Drums, when I practiced I could actually do Van Halen pretty well (including Hot for Teacher)

I always say this rather silly thing about the drums being the spinal cord of the band, the vocals (obviously) being the lungs and the guitar/bass as the heartbeat. I don't know.

However, as I sing, I'm gonna go with that. :p

1. Guitar
2. Cello
3. Mandolin
4. Drums
5. Piano

A lot of what I listen to doesn't even have drums or bass.

I'm very much fond of a band named Pe'z
They use Trumpet, Saxophone, Double bass, Keyboard, and small drum set
so more jazz-ish than anything which is fine by me

Huh..surprised to see so much bass love here. Well, being a bass player, mine is also bass. I love the way it's played (fingerstyle) and I love the deep sound and power behind it.

When used properly the voice and piano can sound awesome. But the guitar is what I like most. Players like Zakk Wylde and Buckethead just make it great.

I'm a little partial towards Bass, but I'm known to enjoy some Bass Clarinet =)

But yeah, Bass is pretty great. You can get a lot of range with it, especially with a 6 string. The high end timbre sounds really great.
