I couldn't find anything similar to this. .I'm curious as to where Escapists seek their scary thrills. I would go for Zombies, for the survival aspect.

Phsycological sounds cool. Reminds me of Psychological. I like watching people slowly go nuts.

I vote Phsycological.

I chose zombies. By the way, vampires have turned into something that's not horror.

Also, what do you mean by religious??

Like the Omen, the Reaping, films that are religiously orientated.

Zombies and Survival. I chose Psychological though because that probably trumps them both, I have to go with Onyx Oblivion an that one.

Psychological for sure. I love it when something is so deep and creepy that it lingers in your mind even after finishing the game/ reading the book.

Psychological. It is a test of a true horror film to leave you mentally disturbed rather than just frightened.

I love the ones with relegious cultists.

Fanatical monks has the same dark fantasy feel as diablo, which was one of the cool things about the games.

Psychological, the ones that play with your head. it can leave you beautifully messed up. I love sitting on the edge of my seat, never knowing just what horror awaits me. Knowing that it will be zombies, vampires, or what have you, defangs a lot of the mystery and thus, the terror.

Movies: I go for zombies, but I am so very dissapointed that there doesn't seem to be a zombie movie (or TV show) that goes deeper than "Oh, God! Zombies! Run!" I want to have the movie/show to put the running, zombie "horror" on the back-burner to focus on how the survivors are changed by the apocalypse.

Anyways, games / books:

I go with psychological. It is just more fun than any other form of horror.

Right now, I would either go with psychological or religious, because the idea of people doing something under the mistaken idea that they're doing the right thing when in fact they're doing something like bringing about the apocalypse allows for nutjobs/worshippers to do some serious f'ed up sh** in the name of "righteousness".

See: Silent Hill series.
