Secondly, I have been a lurker for years, and the reason i come back is because some of the greatest laughs I've ever had have been on 4chan. I guess it just tickles my sense of humor, although I certainly am aware it is not for everybody.

I've been there, and realize that it's the ass-hole of internet forums, but personally, I'm a rather fucked up individual from being on the internets so much that the "WTF is wrong with people" factor doesn't really effect me, so it's just a bunch of porn and idiots that think they are being edgy. but it was a good reference point to make when someone who's new to the internet think that they've seen the worst there is.
Yeah I go there from time to time. A lot of the boards are actually pretty good with some unique discussions/ramblings going on. I remember one day I stumbled right into a morrowind thread and it was actually an entertaining half hour. No trace of porn/gore/idiocy/things-you-should-definetely-not-be-looking-at.
What a lot of people/fucktards don't realise is that 4chan does not begin and end with /b/. Although, granted, occasionally some of the morons over there will decide to make another board /b/ for an evening for no apparent reason ('/x/ is the new /b/' Er, what?). Another thing a lot of these fucktards don't realise, or seem to forget, is that /b/ itself is completely derivative of every shock site in the history of the internet. It's nothing new and there are far worse sites out there. So to all those describing it as 'the asshole of the internet' do some research, wise up, or go fuck yourselves.

This entire blurb was unnecessary. First off, none of the straight people I know consider homosexuality to be gross. Second, when I said CP was "gross" I meant it the same way that you did - that it's a violation of children and is therefore despicable. But drawings still express an idea, and in the case of CP, it's an idea that I don't want to have to look at. As for your little political schpeel at the end there - I said absolutely nothing about political standing. You were the one that injected that into the conversation, and frankly I don't see it's relevance.

I was a 4chan regular for years. Started out as a /b/tard, graduated to /v/irgin and /co/mrade status during the time of the great raids, and spent all of my later (and best!) days as a fa/tg/uy, while moonlighting as a /mu/tant and occasionally visiting my old haunts at /v/ and /co/.
I've had some genuinely great times there, but at some point it just became time to move on. Can't say I really miss it now. The permaban has been a nice excuse to not go there anymore even though ban evasion is pathetically easy.

i always scroll through /B/ when i am bored, there are always some funny threads and the gore threads make you immune to all the shit on the internet
