Poll: Have You Ever Angered The Moderators?

A thread of mine, a discussion about modern slang, was recently closed as it was apparently 'highly inappropriate for the Escapist'. Given that my OP explicitly stated that posters should be tactful in their discussion, I was somewhat put-out when the thread was closed and my appeal for proper justification ignored.

However, it got me wondering where the line/s actually is/are, and I thought this might help clarify the matter for not only myself, but other community members too.

So, if you have ever faced mod-intervention, what was it for? Do you feel it was justified? Have you encountered any bizarre instances of banning or probation?
As always, be tactful - it's not in any way my intention for this thread to be an attack on the mods who keep this place running nicely.

No, I haven't. I always take into consideration of how likely one of my posts could offend any of the mods.

I try to keep as out-of-the-way of the moderators as I can. I've gotten one warning so far for putting "This" and nothing else, so yes, it was justified. I went back and edited it with a longer and better response, and no harm done.

I foresee this not ending well.

I haven't been probationized cuz I try to remember to speak to people on the internets like I would in person.

I have had a few threads locked but usually it's because people start arguing really viciously about the topic. (It's usually some legal case)

Oh once a mod changed the title of my thread I titled it

can you say sex in a title? I hope so... sex.
it was changed to
sex education discussion

Really?? I see loads of 'This' posts that haven't been called up!

Oh... wait... did you say 'This' to a post that received a warning?

No, and I intend to keep it that way.

No, or at least I don't think so.
If I did, they didn't complain/tell me about it.

How the hell should I know? I'm sure I must've made Wilson Or Nylcipher spray their tea all over their keyboards at least once. Then again, I'm quite the goody-goody.

It's not hard. Just make sure your post doesn't directly offend the other person, and steer away from posts that don't expand or contribute. Things like "This." or "I agree." as whole posts on their own are bound to get you probed eventually.

I honestly can't see what they could find fault with on this thread. It's no secret that there is ambiguity in moderation actions - the more examples people have of unacceptable posts, the less likely they are to anger the mods. This thread is pro-community when you think about it. If it gets locked, I'll probably go procrastinate elsewhere! :p

I hope all of your affairs are in order for ninjas have already been dispatched to your house. Why did you have to blow a raspberry?

They tend to dislike people talking about them. Can't imagine why.

Yes, but it was a mere warning for something I've seen numerous people do. I quoted someone, then said "This^".

Minutes later, I received a warning for not having sufficient input to the thread. I understand where the moderator was coming from, but I'm definitely not the only person that's done it.
