I should have walked out on Ultraviolet, by I was just too in awe of how bad it was for it to have occurred to me to do so. I did walk out on Land of the dead and a couple of other films, but the other ones I did so less because the films were bad and more because, and I shit you not; wailing infants, children asking about what they were seeing every 2 minutes at R-rated films, people carrying on long conversations, people doing the aforementioned with cell phones, a sea of very bright screens while people text or get texts during movies, the projector failing multiple times.

I know location can make a difference, but when I was a teen, before cell phones were so ubiquitous, my experience at the theater was way better. People were also less shitty back then. I don't know what it was, but people were less apt to picking fights or kicking seats, or other general dickery 20 or so years ago compared to today's movie-going asshole.

Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance.

I promised myself I would stay to see if they could pull off an "Incredible Hulk" per say with the sequel like they did with Ang Lee's "Hulk".
After the mercenaries fight scene at the construction site with the Rider acting like a goofy cartoon playing starring contests with people faces I was literally done.
The best part is the assistant manager saw how pissed me and my dad were as we walked out, so he was generous enough to give us a refund.
Clearly the man knew.

Once, when I had to pee very badly, during a viewing of Matrix Reloaded. Somehow everything went wrong from that point on for reasons I'd rather not discuss. When I came back and sat down next to my mate, he just looked at me and whispered, "What the fuck, man? You were gone for 30 minutes".

"I don't want to talk about it. What happened?"

He gave me some quick exposition until someone shushed us. The rest of the movie proceeded without incident until we left.
no, you are required by the laws of the internet to share this story now. what happened? Republican Toe Tap? Beans Above The Frank? Urinary Pants Infection? pinned down and jerked off by a hobo? I MUST KNOW
Well... as a cautionary tale... Sending you a PM

I walked out on Django and 300.
Really? I found Django [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0060315/] quite good, not that different from most western of that time. Nothing "walk out" bad at least.

On topic: I have never walked out of a movie and I never will. I go to sneak previews mostly so I never know what I'll get. Be it bad, boring or cringeworthy, I'll sit through it and enjoy every facet of it.
You guys keep saying it wrong, the "D" is silent.

I snuck into an NC17 rated movie as a young teen ~14 or so.
Natural born killers.

I was hoping for boobies. It was seriously messed up. I bolted.

I generally research before so I know whether I'm going to enjoy the movie or not. I hardly watch movies first day so that I can see some reviews. Even if the movie doesn't appeal to me I won't just walk out seeing as I paid good money and all.

I've only done it once (not including the time I was kicked out). The movie was Battle: Los Angeles, and I walked out because it was just dreadful. My friends and I were incredibly bored and disappointed so we left.

Usually I will wait out bad movies (eg Suckerpunch) but that one had no redeeming qualities at all.

Surprisingly, no... But, then again, I mostly end up going to the theaters with someone else[footnote]There was this one time my grandma took me to see Titan AE... only to be the only two people in that particular theater... (No joke!)[/footnote]or with a group of people[footnote]Going to see Return of the King with my mentor and his acquaintances or going to see Chronicles of Narnia with my best friend and his formal youth group...[/footnote]...

The last time I went to the theaters by myself, I was doing a double-feature of Frozen and Anchorman 2... with the latter only making me pissed off at a group of teens fucking around throughout the entire movie... But, none of those times I wanted to just leave while the movie was still playing... I only remember falling asleep during The Nativity Story, but mainly because on the day beforehand, I was [secretly] having an all-night anime viewing session...

Other than that, I just sit there and try to enjoy the movie that I'm watching... (It made me appreciate The Tree of Life in that regard, despite most of it being a movie equivalent to a screensaver...)

Never, though I don't really ever go to the movies just to see any stupid old movie. If I'm at the movies it's probably because there was a movie I wanted to see.

What ever for? Too violent and mansy? Django is one of my favorite movies now. I rewatched it twice.

300 though was a bit too much man even for me. Big shirtless ripped men slow motion thrusting spears into other men... wasn't my thing....

I have walked out of two movies, the first being Osmosis Jones... I don't think more needs to be said about that one, and the second was Resident Evil, which made me so damned embarrassed to be seen watching the utter pile on screen I walked out after the laser room. Though to be fair I was also very annoyed at RE because I was a fan of the campy and often times unintentional hilarity of Resident Evil~

Yes. Once.

I was in big bear on a scout trip and kung pow:enter the fist had recently come out we paid the $7 (because movies were cheaper then) And we all walked out. Only like 2 people started. The rest of us walked out for various reasons. Mine was because I was bored and I thought the movie sucked. I have since tried to watch it and still hold the same opinion. Not my type of comedy.

I would have walked out of paranormal activity(ticket I didn't pay for) had I not been there at the express request of my best friend and her having a death grip on my right arm. I settled for attempting to sleep in between predicting what was going to happen next everytime she screamed and woke me up.

And I fell asleep watching inglorious basterds when I saw it because I was coming off a double shift at midnight and saw it at 2 am or something ridiculous like that. But it was the fall asleep without realising it kind of falling asleep And then startling yourself awake repeatedly kind. I own it and still haven't seen it all the way through.

Nearly walked out of The Avengers, but managed to sit through it. I think a not bad part happened later, but I'm not sure.

Yep, Django here too. It was my last straw, my last blind shot. With today's shit hole trends, I do full research now if a film or game interests me even slightly.

I don't think I ever walked out of movie before that though. I wanted to escape from Tim Burtons Alice in Wonderland and Les Miserable, but I couldn't cause I went with friends or family. I slept through Robin Hood with Russel Crow. Not that I can remember.

I would have walked out of Enemy at the Gate, but I'd gone to it with my father and didn't want to offend him by leaving.

Turned out after it was over that he hated it as much as I had and the only reason HE hadn't walked out was because he didn't want to offend me.

We both agreed to up in the future.

I used to go to every single movie when I was in high school, usually alone, because I lived in a small town, the theater was close to my house and I had no friends. Even so, I never walked out on a movie. I also only slept once, during Universal Soldier with JCVD (told you, I watched everything). Usually when something is really bad (like The Beach with Di Caprio), I am so pissed off that I apply gamer logic to the situation (can't let the game/movie win), so I just stay because fuck you.

Wait, cinema tickets cost 20$ for you? Wow, I don't think I would be able to afford that every week!

Now, I have never walked out of a movie (also, why does my spellcheck always show "movie" as wrong?).

I've actually never seen a bad movie on the big screen. However, I rarely want to see something, so I am normally very sure something will fit my taste and be good before I go. When I'm not 100% sure I'll like it, I mostly just wait for it to either show up on DVD or a streaming service - or I wait for friends judgement.

Yes. I walked out of About Schmit because old people talking about sex made me squirm.
I understand that. While I really like the movie, it IS making everyone in the room uncomfortable. It pretty much is a movie ABOUT making people squirm with things that are true, but normally ignored and denied. It also always feels like it is partially a comedy, except the comedy never starts. Not a feel-good movie.
