I'm currently taking algebra and it's really ......*has collapsed from thinking about algebra too hard*... sorry, boring. my question is, what was your overall experience in algebra and the other, harder math classes.(slightly unrelated question): if you passed algebra and the previously mentioned harder classes...do you have any advice? CAUTION: DO NOT TAKE THREAD TOO SERIOUSLY

Math:you gotta do, what you gotta do.
-Just try to take good notes and always do your homework. If you're not getting it, get some help. Don't focus on the thong of the hot chick in front of you. This is my advise. Use it wisely.

So much of it is worthless, luckily I've designated math as my 'sleep period' so I don't pay attention anyway.

most of the difficult stuff is the stuff you will probably never use again once you've finished school. just gotta keep at it until it FINALLY clicks

I was never any good at maths, but I wished I was.

Now I'm at uni I just write flowery bollocks all day, none o' dem numbers, but I'm paradoxically nostalgic for what might have been...

Maths isn't worthless. Everything you learn you use in the exams and the qualifications are not worthless.

I enjoy maths...
I never said all of maths is worthless, just half of Algebra. I'm afraid I don't see a need to calculate how to graph a circle with an equation half as long as my page. I'm fine with the rest of maths; formulas, equations, etc., but these damnable graphs...

Like a reminder that you have a short lifespan. I passed the last exam before finals by the skin of my teeth. Because of that I didn't have to take the final for that class and I passed my senior year.

I'm utterly horrible at maths. Anything more than basic equations and I'm lost. I just can't think that abstractly.

Thankfully, nothing I ever want to do in life requires me to be in any contact with mathematics at all. When I leave school, I'm going to get one of those fancy programmable calculators that are so advanced that they don't let you use them in exams and bring that around with me, and that's maths sorted for the rest of my life.
WHERE CAN YOU FIND ONE

Well, I study (for lack of a lazier word) Maths at university. That should sum up what I thought of it back at school... :)

Mathematics are just AMAZING.
I don't know what you do in your class, but from a point onward I was like "O.O THIS IS FUCKING AWESOME SHIT!"

Don't worry about trying to understand it, just learn the rules and patterns.

Eh, I enjoy math. Pre-Calc is really tough, but math just adds up for me (Ba Dum, Ting)

if you want to get more into it you could try to ask if the teachers knows some striking examples on how to implement the theory, but don't get your hopes up if he/she doesn't already do that ;)
