Much as I hate to admit it... I'm pretty much Lawful Good. I like to work within the established social customs or laws to help others... but I will break a law if I consider it unjust, or the situation warrants it (like, to save a life or something like that).

Mass Effect gets points for actually allowing me to do this. Usually most games have the Good\Evil thing - but the way you can rack up the occasional Renegade points in Mass Effect without trashing your Paragon score was pretty good.

The first time I play, I will be good. I will then play until I get bored, after that I will restart and do whatever the fuck I want.

The alignment in games isn't important to me. I would play the holiest of paladins, but still ignore the king if the reward for letting him die is better than the reward for saving him.

I actually try to let the situations carry me but in the end it always turns out I always went to the good side. I always feel a sting when I do something bad, even accidentally (Oh god! Why oh why did she have to run in front of my grinder disc launcher?!)

To be more precise about my idea of the best type of "good", I think that "chaotic good" (like Robin Hood) is the preferred style for me.

MY vote's in for wherever my choices take me... I'm to put it in a specific alignment in life chaotic neutral... I do whatever I damn well wanna do.
which means one minute i could be giving someone a drink the next minute i could be lighting their mother on fire... yeah mood swings.

my natural tendancies lead me down a dark path, but i always end up playing a good character as i find that most rpg games favour good players in the long run

I start as a good guy then I would do what I would do if I was REALLY in such a situation. Unsurprisingly enough, I'd still be good. :p
I don't I was ever evil in a game. I guess I was always worried that my mom would walk in and see me doing evil things and she'd freak out.

I usually take the hero route, just because I find it satisfying doing nice things for people. Whether they are real or virtual.

However if I feel like am not getting, enough enjoyment out of being good. Then I will turn to the dark side.

Always the good guy. I am too morally strong to be a bad guy in a game, so much so I get too emotionally hurt if I do a bad thing.
And here I thought I was the only one. I can occasionally go the neutral route, if the game lets me...but I can't seem to be any sort of anti-hero but the one who'll kick a puppy, then immediately heal whatever damage it took and find it a good home. <color=white>Tearful apology optional.

Or, to put it in other terms...Dakkon in Planescape Torment is always my friend. Always. You can treat him like a slave, but even thinking about that makes me sick.

I tend to go with my gut and, according to my experiences in game, my gut is a force of Good and Justice. Which I suppose is a good thing, because if something so massive were turned toward evil, the world would be doomed.

I'd prefer to choose good, but pretty much ALL games nowadays seem to recommend the evil choice as it is always easier and more beneficial. Blowing up Megaton netted me 1000 caps, saving it got me 300. Bio leeching a civilian in infamous completely recharged my electricity, arc restraining and healing did...nothing.

I do what I want, when I want. I'm not neutral, but I'm not aligned. I might be pushing you off a cliff and marrying you widow one second and saving some orphan puppies from the BBG the next. I tend to end up allying with the good guys, mostly for PR, but I have no problem going with Team Evil when I end up in a bad position.

Whichever one grants me the best doodads!

If going the hero route gives me wussy armor and pansy skills as compared to the evil route...
If killing an entire town gives me just as massive boost of experience/skillpoints/loot as going into a an out of the way dungeon...

My way is depended on what the game dev team is allowing me to do.

Personally, I just can't be evil. Sometimes I get pissed and make a choice that leans toward "the dark side," but that's a rare occurrence. I get a lot more satisfaction from helping people than from harming them, but maybe that's just me.
