I think I've only seen the Hobbit trilogy in 3D. Those were done pretty well, to me. I'd go 3D again if it was convenient.

Depends on the production. When 3D is done well is can be done very well. Avatar, Hugo and the Hobbit films were amazing in 3D.

I don't wear glasses, nor do I have any problem watching 3d movies, but they simply aren't worth the extra cost and effort of remembering those goddamn glasses that cost about 8 bucks or something.

At least where I live there are multiple non-3d viewings of movies a day. That being said however, I don't go to the cinema often.

As someone with perception-based glasses, 3D only works for me if I'm only wearing one pair of glasses... In other words, good job Nintendo! I fucking love the 3D on the 3DS unironically! In terms of 3D movies, unless I really want to "immerse" myself in a movie I'm going to love anyway and I have the bones to dish it, I'm completely indifferent to their overall existence... But, if you're only going to have the 3D version available to buy if you buy the SE version of the Blu-Ray release, then it better be worth it other than seeing the movie at home in 3D...

Other than that, I mostly go 2D because it cost less... and that's about it...

Yeah, it was fun when Spy Kids did it, but it grew old fast. By time I was forced to see Avatar (I still regret letting my family talk me into giving it a chance), 3D had grown to be an inconvenience because there were some theaters that lacked a 2D showing. This is made worse because most of the time I forget that a movie is in 3D, and at that point I get angry at myself for spending the extra money. The ONLY time in Avatar that I remember the 3D making any difference was when the main character was vloging or whatever, but that's it.

On another note, 4D rides with those seats that move up and down are ok, but only if it's for something less than half an hour long.

I can't vibe on 3D because for some reason, after all these years, they still haven't come up with a design for those glasses that can fit comfortably over a pair of glasses. Like, COME ON.

So I spent the entire duration of the movie uncomfortable and if I even move my head in the slightest they fall off/move and then everything is out of focus. They just cause serious eye strain for me and it gives me an awful headache. I can't even use my 3DS in 3D mode. Also sometimes it causes me motion sickness too. Would rather not barf into my popcorn bucket.

I did read somewhere a while back that the 3D gimmick does help keep theaters, especially smaller ones afloat. So at least that's something. So long as there's always a 2D option and it's significantly cheaper, I won't complain.

2D= photo, length+width
3D= normal movie, length+width+time
4D= "3D" movie, length+width+depth+time

That said I voted for those red and blue glasses because they hurt so bad after a while.

I'll generally see everything in 2D, but I'm not entirely against 3D. I reckon it can be great when it's not an old film remade into rubbish, where the stuff actually comes out of the screen, when it doesn't replace the 2D option, and the price worth it.

My uncle said he saw a film in 4D and it involved the chairs rocking around when the screen would shake and water spraying in your face when water splashed into the screen.

Where i live the cost for 3D glasses are 2$. I'm not so cheap that i can't afford the extra 2 bucks to see the movie in 3D. I like 3D.
