After getting my 2nd monitor in the mail last week I am wondering how many monitors other people have? Also out of curiosity could you post what kind of monitor(s) you have.

I will go first.

I have 2 monitors, one is a 22" Gateway and the other is a 23" Acer.

EDIT: This includes laptop screens and TVs. As long as a computer is attached to it, said screen is a monitor.

EDIT2: They do not have to be all hooked up to the same computer.

why the hell would i want 2 monitors?
I use 2 every day at work. improves my productivity by crazy amounts.
My job would be SO much slower if I didn't have my 2nd monitor.

Couldn't do without it now.

Just the one for me, and I wouldn't want it any other way (read: I can't afford a dual-monitor setup)

4 a 30" HP my 16" Alba which I use as a backup and for my ps2 (bloody hard to find both HDMI/Scart inputs on a monitor) and two good old TFT Monitors in my folk's shed just incase.

None, I use my modest 32" HDTV to facilitate gaming and net surfing on my PC. I don't think a TV counts as a monitor.

I voted 8+ Anyway.

But i still dont get what do you gain from having 2.

My desktop is now spread across two monitors, not just duplicated. So I have windows open on Monitor 1, and windows open on Monitor two. It's like having two desktops. The mouse slides from one monitor to the other.
In my job, I have to go back and forth between windows quite often for information. Rather then Alt-Tabbing like crazy all day long, I can have both windows open and therefore concentrate on the transfer of information, rather then the switching of windows. Very very handy.

Dual monitors here. 19" as the main screen and a 17" as the secondary. I don't really need double monitors for anything, but I have to say that I'm so used to having two monitors that I'm not sure if I could go back to a single monitor.

I have 1 monitor and 1 small TV.
I don't think the TV counts as a monitor, so I voted 1.
