Poll: How often do you shave?

And this week in vaguely uncomfortable and intensely personal questions, I ask you, fellow Escapists of all genders: how often do you shave?

Why? Mostly just because I had one of those shower questions over how often guys have to shave their beardo's, which I'm sure I could just find the answer to over Google, but eh, why not ask a forum full of random strangers?

Sooo? What's the answer? Also, um... discuss... shaving techniques, or something, I guess...

When it starts to scratch or if I'm going someplace fancy.

I should also add that I only shave my face when I do shave. Nothing else.
Even if I wanted to I wouldn't need to shave my eyebrows,arms or legs because blonde hair is invisible hair.
Chest hair is black-ish and facial hair is red-ish.
I don't even know what to call the color on my head. it goes from blonde when newly washed to golden to red-ish to brown-ish over 3 days.

Every fourth day or so. Can't be bothered to do it more often.

None of the options apply. I shave around the same time as my haircut. I grow a badass beard in sync with the hair on my head. The whole beard is handled with an electric razor, first bringing it down to a minimum with the trimmer part, then removing the rest with the main section.

Maybe two or three times a month. Too lazy to do it everyday to keep it down.

I shave my face every few days just so it doesn't feel uncomfortable and I don't look gross.

If I'm planning on presenting myself in "girl/androgynous mode", I do a thorough close shave. If I'm going to wear shorts or see my girlfriend, a full body shave.

In an ideal world I'd have no body or facial hair hair at all, ever. I hate it and it causes nothing but inconvenience.

Well I'm sporting a rather large full beard so the answer is I don't.Haven't been clean shaven in about 15 years

I work a job where my appearance doesn't matter so I only shave on the weekends (or on the rare occasion where I go out on a week night and give a shit about how I look). But if I worked a job where my appearance did matter I'd probably have to shave every day because I'm a pretty hairy dude.

I don't shave my legs or under my arms at all, I tend to use hair removal cream and moisturize afterwards, and then I use an epilator to prevent the hair from growing back.

I like how I look when I have a bit of shadow going on, so I don't shave it off every day.

Sometimes I grow it out when I'm off work. I've had a full beard a few times. Don't much like it though. Beards are a pain to trim and it feels uncomfortable around that part where my jaw transitions into my neck.

When I was in the Air Force, I could get away with doing it every other day instead of every morning with the difference being almost entirely unnoticable. I'm not a particularly furry individual, so I've got that going for me.

Now, however, since I have no pressure from my particular job to do it (no one gives a shit how hairy their data analyst is) and no social preferences to adhere to (family, friends, girlfriend all live at least one state away), I just shave my face whenever the hairs start to get long enough to fold and bend... so, maybe every 3 or 4 days at the most, as well as any foreseeable occasion where I'd deliberately prepare to look my best.

Once every two/three days usually. I barely have any beard growth. Sure it's easy for maintenance, but y'know; sometimes I wish I at least had the option to grow a beard. It'd be nice to not have a baby-face all the time. Though at least working out is making my face a little more angular.

I am in the military... so yeah... every day. Although I tend to have a single day off on the weekend, usually Saturday, before starting again on the Sunday.

I also have a moustache. So, I never shave there!

i trim my beard, but i haven't actually shaved it off since my mother died

I can grow a pretty healthy beard in what seems like no time flat, but I generally like to maintain stubble or a goatee as opposed to the lazier option.

This means a few times a month I'll trim to keep things in order and, once a week or so, shave certain areas (mostly to prevent the dreaded 'neck beard' sort of stuff) to keep up appearances.

Other areas? ...Depends on if I'm getting laid or not. ._.

About once per week or two, I have to pick up some new razor blades at some point for thorough shaves. For now, I trim emerging neckbeard electrically whenever it gets to too much and leave a pitiful attempt at soul patch/goatee to grow.
