Whenever i play a game that has an potion of chracter custimization or a choice of characters, i always make sure my character is as fast as possible, everytime.

If there is a choice of the strong one or the weak one, i go the weak one not for the challange but for the fact that they will be alot faster. It just seems to be that the strong ones are always slow, and i never pick them.

So, which type of characters do you like to go as:

The Slow, reliable one that doesnt die after 20 shots to the face but attacks real slow.

The Average one who excells in no catagories.

Or The Really fast character that gets in multiple attacks before the enemy knows its there but dies in only a few hits.

Like myself, I prefer to keep my characters well-rounded. Jack of all trades, master of none.

Same here. I generally prefer well-balanced characters, but failing that, I'll move towards the lighter end of the spectrum.

Jigglypuff, anyone?

Cause fox is a cheap as dominating character. lol. I used to spend the whole match just running and dodgeing and reflecting crap at people and I always won. Him and pikachu are my fav.
I play the middle road character all the time. Well at least in RPGs.

To continue the brawl analogies, I always use Marth, as he attacks with agility and grace. Plus I love how quick his counter is.

Ike is very powerful and can KO an enemy even when they have low damage, but he attacks far too slow for my liking.

Speed makes up for power any day, it doesn't matter how powerful you are if your target is too fast to hit.

But if your opponent is so powerful that they can do AoE damage, or can hit you (since you're weak as hell when you're fast), your as good as gone, strength and tactics over speed and reflexes anyday

I like my characters to be not too slow, not too weak. However, I tend to go with heavier characters over quick ones because I lose track of what's going on and usually die.

Personally it just depends on the game.

If it's a shooter I want a tank class, though for others I might want a fast player

The poor language usage in this thread makes my brain hurt. From what I can gather, you're asking whether we use faster characters or not. For me, it depends on the type of game; in Smash Bros. I tended to stick with Shiek, but in real other fighting games I usually go for the larger characters.

I am a jack-of-all-trades and master-of-none. That generally makes me a mid-weight fighter.

I put everything into speed. If my character was extremely fast but could be killed by a flea bite, I would still use that character.

In Too Human I use the Berserker because I pinball enemies, killing a room full in a few seconds.
